Extra Hard Mode
Extra Hard Mode changes the game rules to create NEW, INTERESTING CHALLENGES for players who have mastered the core game. Unlike Mojang's "hard" mode or other plugins' "hardcore" modes which just punish you more for making mistakes without actually changing game mechanics, Extra Hard Mode delivers interesting new challenges for advanced players.

Recommended Plugins
- Make tree logs and branches fall when chopped with GraviTree. Set "FallingLogsDamagePlayers" to true in its config for an extra challenge!
- For anti-grief, avoid plugins that disable explosions entirely, because that will undermine the cave-in mechanic and the new improved TNT.
- Avoid plugins which allow players to teleport themselves out of danger when they're in combat or lost. Especially avoid plugins which add commands like /home, /back, and /tpa, since they will undermine the difficulty VERY much. Consider instead a teleportation plugin like Population Density, which allows players to teleport only between teleportation posts it places on the surface every 400 blocks.
- You might want to look into balancing villagers. Having diamond gear tradable for very easily farmable materials will undermine the difficulty. I use Rebalance Villagers to make the trades harder.
Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- Config options that are activated, allowing me to see what people use (or don't)
You can disable the stat collection via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you wish. If you want to see the stats, you can go here

Good work. You could maybe ask the author of Orebfuscator if he will add it into his code. That way orebfuscator will support the Fallingblocks from other mods by default and not only from ehm.

i made this little fix for now
maybe it can some how be added into extra hard modes code in a more elegant way

Torches popping off sounds interesting, but you'll have to save the positions and let them pop off later. Might be interesting for caves. But as a player I use torches to mark where I have been before, will definetely make the game more difficult because you'll get lost more easy. I'll have to think about it.
I haven't had success with a scripting plugin so far. I find them to be more complicated than Java. But I know Java already so that makes the difference.

Set Monsters Spawn In Light To 0. Torches Max Y, sets the range where you can't place torches. A setting of 30 will block torch placement in the range from 0 to 30 Y. If you set all Y specific values to 0 they should be disabled.

Posted Mar 9, 2013I'm using orebfuscator and extra hard mode at the same time
whenever there are cave ins, or explosions and blocks fall away it exposes orebfuscated blocks (which looks like tons of great ores and randomness)
are there any settings i can use to work around this?

Posted Mar 9, 2013Having the same problem where the worlds keep removing themselves after each restart. It is really an annoyance, and my default world isn't supposed to have the plugin enabled, which is angering and annoying most of the players.
I hope this can be fixed asap, it happened as soon as I updated to 3.1.1. I think I'll have to remove this plugin until it can get fixed.

My players are complaining that mobs are still spawning in light which in the older config i could set to false.

Posted Mar 8, 2013Hi, thank you for creating this plugin it really adds a lot I've been looking for to my server! I really appreciate that you took the time to allow enabling/disabling individual features.
I have a couple of quick observations I wanted to mention, and I apologize if these have been answered in comments however it isn't easy to navigate 73 pages of comments! First, could you please add a description for the "Better Tree Felling: true" option in the config to your description on the overview? Also, could you give an idea of how much weight is 'too much' weight for the swimming limitation? Does that take in to account stacks of items or simply number of item slots used?
Finally, a small request. I'm not certain if this is within the scope of your vision for your mod however you are certainly a talented modder to have created all this so I might as well ask. Could you add the option for torches placed anywhere in the world to 'pop off' (turn back in to an item) after a certain amount of time? I've tried creating this mod myself using the 'skript' plugin but am having trouble making the timer persist after a sever restart. I feel this mod would fit well in to the theme of your mod, and perhaps could be attached to only certain lower levels similar to the 'disallow torches' option already present in your mod.

thank you for reply. im using MyWorlds for multiworld plugin. and i tested EHM v3.0, and i found that my special world wont be removed from config. but its really unuseful not to be able to use "ehm reload"command, so i keep on adding my special world and using "ehm reload"command every after reboot. test it please.
