FramePicture

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

What is FramePicture?

Frame Picture is a plugin that can draw images in a itemframe.

-> How to install

1. Download the newest FramePicture.jar
2. Download the newest ProtocolLib from http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/protocollib/
3. Stop your Server
4. Drop the FramePicture.jar into your plugins folder.
5. Drop the ProtocolLib.jar into your plugins folder.
6. Start your Server
7. See the Tutorial

1. Install the Plugin and ProtocolLib.
2. Join to your Server.
3. Place a item frame
4. Search a photo in the internet
5. Type "/fp set URL" in the chat
6. Interact a item frame
7. Finish!

-> Supported file formats

FramePicture supports the file formats .gif (no animations), .png and .jpg.

-> Multilanguage

This plugin supports multilanguage.
message.yml Downloads: English (Standard), Deutsch, France (by cocoman37), Czech (by jaraxxx), Portuguese (by LCastr0), Polish (by Alsiokowsky), Spanish (by jaime29010), Dutch (by Jhtzb), Russian (by Igor1998), Danish (by fungreenfox)
You can make Translates and send me the messages.yml!

Amazing plugin! Thank you so much! We no longer have to put items in the frames that slightly look like what they are really supposed to be!

There is a BIG bug on your plugin. I've installed 3 versions of it and every time, it works for 15 minutes, then my server crashes. After that, it says that my URL isn't a picture ! I try to reinstall it, it doesn't work. What can I do ???

Every time someone hits the item frame, the picture turns into a stone block?!

it works first fine, after some time a link to a picture is missing and so the plugin was not working more. After a standard restart of the server the plugin delete all frames after the frame with the missing file. So all frames now missing !

Hmm... The plugin isn't working right on my server for some reason. It works fine at first but after a few hours or so images begin to disappear and turn into regular empty maps:

Picture

Some images disappear earlier than others but eventually they all go away. The URLs to all the images are still valid. Is anybody else having this problem? I'm running FP 1.3 and Bukkit 1.4.7-R1.0.

Ok, i found another problem with 1.3.

Whenever one of the players enter URLs that have no image-extension included,
FramePicture displays the following in-game message:

[FramePicture] You have already a selection!

At the same time it throws an exception in the server console:

- http://dev.bukkit.org/paste/7170/

Last but not least these errors lag the server a lot.

Hopefully you can fix or work around this and let it show an appropiate error, without spamming the console and lagging the server ;)
