Standard Installation and Basic Test

Just drop the FoundDiamonds.jar in your plugins folder and reload!

If you're an OP, continue to the next step. If not, give yourself the permission fd.* (You'll give normal players fd.broadcast for broadcasts, and fd.monitor for admin messages and light level monitoring.)

The best way to test the plugin and verify that it's working is to find some natural iron or coal and break it! You should see a message.

>Note: FoundDiamonds does not announce blocks that a player has placed (Unless an OP or a player with the fd.* permission uses /fd clearplaced after placing the block) Note: Only Players with fd.broadcast can see the broadcasts (this plugin requires permissions)

Note: Traps may or may not work in this version. Not sure what direction to go with these yet.
Updated outdated licenses and renamed packages
Fixed a bug with the clearplaced command not working for flat file setups
Fixed odd things in the config
Fixed a bug where it was impossible to give out one random item
Fixed a bug where the random item is also given to the person who mined the diamonds...
Added random potions to the config so you can now select which potions to give out (even bad ones maybe!)
Removed potion messages for now and replaced with something far simpler
Added more default potions (night vision is cool!)

Troubleshooting

Is the ore you broke a block that was placed by you or someone else. Do /fd clearplaced?
Is the world you're breaking ores in listed in /fd world list?
Are you using the latest version of FoundDiamonds? /fd version
Are you using the CB build this was built against?
Are you breaking ore in creative mode with creative mode disabled in the config?
Did you make changes to the config and forget to do /fd reload?

If none of the above helped you, it's likely that you have found a bug. Please report the bug along with your config.yml and any errors in the console you may be receiving so I can look into it.

Works for 1.7.9 for me and doesn't cause lag from what I can tell. I've been using it just fine for 2 years

I only just found out about this plugin, Then I read the comments that it dosunt work with 1.7.9 AND lags the server, which is a giant shame. What is a better alternative to this plugin to try and catch out xrayers?

I had to uninstall FD after 1.7.9. The lag caused by FD's check of the blockbreak event was outrageous.. This seriously needs to be checked into.

Yeah, there seems to be something off with the plugin right now....all of a sudden the broadcast messages aren't working for some players anymore. Might need an update!

Ahem, To everyone having issues with the permissions:

1) fd.monitor to groups you want to monitor.

2) fd.admin to mods/admins that you wish to see the broadcast messages. Note that this will not give all your staff admin commands or anything, just ability to see the admin block message that you set up with the commands below

In-game, type:

/fd admin add Diamond Ore,aqua

/fd admin Gold Ore,gold

etc etc. For the blocks you would like to use.

For some reason, the initial broadcast perm is not working correctly. So you have to make use of Admin Blocks. Virtually, I can not see any difference in it. But this way works, so I won't complain :)

No messages broadcasting when ores found. Think it may have been a permission problem. Think I needed to add the broadcast perm to the users. I will test tonight.

Hi, can we disable player mining in dark place? They will unable to break block in dark area.

I have tried this with 3.6.3 and i do not receive a message when a rank has fd.monitor

The only was to receive a message is when they have fd.broadcast but that means they get the message aswell..

This is not ideal if you dont want your users to know they are being monitored.

Hello, is it possible to broadcast broken blocks that have damage value :1, :2, etc and how.

And would it be possible if you add ability to use custom names for block breaks like:

- id,color,Uranium ore

I ask for this cuz we'r running ftb server and some block names are screwd up.

Shouldn't the following:

Maximum number or items to give: 3 Random Item 1: 265 Random Item 2: 263 Random Item 3: 340

be written as

Maximum number of items to give: 3 Random Item 1: 265 Random Item 2: 263 Random Item 3: 340

As it currently stands, it's ambiguous as to what exactly a player is able to receive. (3 total items from the list of 1, 2, or 3, with or without duplicates allowed? Only 1 item from #3 on the list? 3 items of #3 on the list?)

It's probably been said before, but it would be nice if a message for finding Quartz ores could be added.. Is this a planned feature, or a no-go?

I see all the ores broken from my members using the latest version 3.6.4, however I don't always see ores broken by myself. They only report about 50% of the time. This has been happening to me since 3.6.3 was released.

All my groups inherit permissions from the lower ones

Default: fd.monitor Mod: fd.admin Admin: fd.*

I see players break ores 100% of the time, but again only see my own ore messages 50% of the time. Not that it matters but it just concerns me that if it's not showing up when I break ores is it possible the same is happening for players too?

Guys if you're having issues, downgrade back to the previous version. There's enough reports here to indicate something is most likely broken. I will look into this asap.

The permissions for this plugin either changed, or there is a bug. I was using it on my server for a long time with no problems then began experiencing issues.

I believe I have it nailed down at this time. I gave myself op, then added the following two permissions to a test account: fd.broadcast and fd.monitor The plugin works as expected, both accounts were being monitored and both accounts received the message when ore was found.

I removed the fd.broadcast permission from my test account, and broke ore with my test account, and my op account did not receive a broadcast that the test account had found ore.

Same here, when admins/mods find diamonds it will broadcast, but for some reason, when regular players find diamonds, it does not broadcast
