Standard Installation and Basic Test

Just drop the FoundDiamonds.jar in your plugins folder and reload!

If you're an OP, continue to the next step. If not, give yourself the permission fd.* (You'll give normal players fd.broadcast for broadcasts, and fd.monitor for admin messages and light level monitoring.)

The best way to test the plugin and verify that it's working is to find some natural iron or coal and break it! You should see a message.

>Note: FoundDiamonds does not announce blocks that a player has placed (Unless an OP or a player with the fd.* permission uses /fd clearplaced after placing the block) Note: Only Players with fd.broadcast can see the broadcasts (this plugin requires permissions)

Note: Traps may or may not work in this version. Not sure what direction to go with these yet.
Updated outdated licenses and renamed packages
Fixed a bug with the clearplaced command not working for flat file setups
Fixed odd things in the config
Fixed a bug where it was impossible to give out one random item
Fixed a bug where the random item is also given to the person who mined the diamonds...
Added random potions to the config so you can now select which potions to give out (even bad ones maybe!)
Removed potion messages for now and replaced with something far simpler
Added more default potions (night vision is cool!)

Troubleshooting

Is the ore you broke a block that was placed by you or someone else. Do /fd clearplaced?
Is the world you're breaking ores in listed in /fd world list?
Are you using the latest version of FoundDiamonds? /fd version
Are you using the CB build this was built against?
Are you breaking ore in creative mode with creative mode disabled in the config?
Did you make changes to the config and forget to do /fd reload?

If none of the above helped you, it's likely that you have found a bug. Please report the bug along with your config.yml and any errors in the console you may be receiving so I can look into it.

Actually I do know Java :P so I know it can be difficult and stressful, but do you know how long its been sense the bug has been reported? Only the ticket manager has been responding to anyone... As far as I know, this plugin could be abandoned. Hopefully not....

I hope you understand the time that developers put into making plugins & how stressful & difficult it can be sometimes. Maybe you should try learning java..then come back and yell at someone my friend, but i agree this is an amazing plugin, hopefully it will be updated soon enough ^_^

OMFG...when are you guys going to fix the damn bug ( http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/founddiamonds/tickets/34-please-fix-this-soon/ ) ...srry about the screaming, I'm just mad this plugin doesn't work anymore... this is the best ore notification plugin out there...if you can fix the bug please..that would be great...

hay is there a way to add custom blocks? ive been using the plugin a long time and its awesome but its missing the ability to add custom blocks.... is this possible or am i missing this feature?

Yes it's a little confuse ...
I would like to monitor some players and broadcast messages only to moderators ...
seems that only fd.broadcast players are watched ... and receive broadcast.
How can I see what peoples find without everyone knows ??
Is it possible to have a permission for player who are finding something and permission for player who receive the message separately ?
also, what is the admin messages ?

What do you mean actually?
1 show broadcast of vips?
2 show the broadcast to vips?

Really love this plugin! It works great! :)

But, I think maybe you left a debug message in? Every time it announces a find, it says: "Decimal: 86.66666666666667 Formatted: 87"

And I made sure Debug was not enabled.

just to avertise you i modify your plugin, i added logblock depend in your code to add xrayinformer in and that appear like this:

  Admin Messages:

User snoepje0 has been contributing trap block ideas to FD for a while now (as seen in the credits section). He has basically completely re-written the system so that now trap blocks can be managed remotely with simple commands! I've added him as a contributor to the project. Those of you who use traps can expect some fantastic new features in the next next release.

What's the best way to make it so just my Moderator group and higher can see FD broadcast messages? The only way I can get it to work is giving my lowest rank fd.broadcast, but then EVERYONE can see the messages. If I take away fd.broadcast, then my mods+ can't see the broadcasts.

I am using essentials permissions and 1.4.2. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I had a problem with the upgrade to 3.6.2, symptom was that it was not broadcasting messages to console or players with fd.broadcast perms.

The problem was the config syntax has changed.

Old syntax:

- diamond ore:aqua

New syntax:

- diamond ore,aqua

Changed the delimiter from ":" to "," and that fixed my problem. I spent a couple hours figuring this out, eventually renaming my config and letting FD generate a new one. Hope this helps somebody!
