Standard Installation and Basic Test

Just drop the FoundDiamonds.jar in your plugins folder and reload!

If you're an OP, continue to the next step. If not, give yourself the permission fd.* (You'll give normal players fd.broadcast for broadcasts, and fd.monitor for admin messages and light level monitoring.)

The best way to test the plugin and verify that it's working is to find some natural iron or coal and break it! You should see a message.

>Note: FoundDiamonds does not announce blocks that a player has placed (Unless an OP or a player with the fd.* permission uses /fd clearplaced after placing the block) Note: Only Players with fd.broadcast can see the broadcasts (this plugin requires permissions)

Fixed a bug with the clearplaced command not working for flat file setups
Fixed odd things in the config
Fixed a bug where it was impossible to give out one random item
Fixed a bug where the random item is also given to the person who mined the diamonds...
Added random potions to the config so you can now select which potions to give out (even bad ones maybe!)
Removed potion messages for now and replaced with something far simpler
Added more default potions (night vision is cool!)

Troubleshooting

Is the ore you broke a block that was placed by you or someone else. Do /fd clearplaced?
Is the world you're breaking ores in listed in /fd world list?
Are you using the latest version of FoundDiamonds? /fd version
Are you using the CB build this was built against?
Are you breaking ore in creative mode with creative mode disabled in the config?
Did you make changes to the config and forget to do /fd reload?

If none of the above helped you, it's likely that you have found a bug. Please report the bug along with your config.yml and any errors in the console you may be receiving so I can look into it.

Ok, I reloaded and it started working, How can i have it broadcast when they break ores, but they cant see the messages?

I only want two groups to see the messages, but if i remove fd.broadcast no messages. What do i do

Using latest version, with default config. We get NO messages at all. I have tried everything, with natural diamonds on an alt with no permissions, with placed diamonds and /fd clearplaced i have tried it all. It just won't work. I am using CraftBukkit does that not work with this? Whats going on. I need this to work, anyone can help?

I have all permissions and it don't work for me, my members have fd.broadcast and monitor yet nothing. No messages

Is it possible to check the amount of ores found by a player not just notification but something like /fd check <playername> and it'll tell you what they've mined.

This plugin really needs support for Tekkit/Technic Pack. I think you might be able to manually add the ores in Tekkit using /fd bc add ITEMID

I'm having trouble with people finding diamonds at the edge of someones worldguard region. If you try to mine the diamonds, it give the rewards (Coal, iron, bread and spells) but the worldguard blocks the harvest.

UNLIMITED goodies for all the current players on my server. One guy was harvesting the same diamonds for hours.

Is there a way to fix this bug?

/fd light has 3 sub-comands:

* /fd light add - Tells the plugin what ore you want to view the light levels on.

* /fd light remove - Let's the plugin forget an ore that you have previously told monitor.

* /fd light list - Shows you a list of all the ores that you have told the plugin to monitor

Like I have stated before you need to tell the plugin what ores to monitor and you can edit it in the config.yml or in-game via the commands.

EDIT: You need the permissions:

fd.* - To use all the commands the plugin has to offer. OR

fd.light.*- To use just the light commands.

You need to tell the plugin to broadcast it:

/fd bc add emerald - This will tell the plugin that you want emerald to be broadcasted.

/fd bc list- show which the ores that the plugin WILL announce.

NOTE:

Once again you need permissions:

fd.broadcast- This just makes it so when the player mines a block listed in /fd bc list it will broadcast it to the world.

fd.monitor - This allows you to 'monitor' the player and will send you admin messages when the player find one of the listed blocks under, /fd admin list.

fd.monitor will also check the player for light level violations as well to prevent players from using full brightness cheats

same problem as wrecktify80. I do have the correct permissions. previous plugin worked nothing has changed except for the jarfile.

what does fd light command? I think it will show me which visibilty was when someone mined, but it does nothing.. nothing changed at all.. thanks
