Posted Jan 19, 2013Paully I am very very very hopefully going to have the dungeon setup video tonight. It got delayed really long and I'm sorry for that.
You just have to absolutely 100% make sure that your selection points are NOT on walls, floors, or ceilings! This is the most important. You need to select such that the point is floating in mid-air after you clear away the block you use to select. I say in setup you should be like 1 away. Well it's really more like 2; you can go higher if you want. from the wall by all dimensions (x,y,z). If your building a a rectangle, then you need to create a rectangle that is roughly 2 smaller (x,y,z) on all sides that fits inside the dungeon. I know it's weird, the video will help with this explanation.
If you have a dungeon 10 long and 10 wide but it's only 2 high, it will not work, because there is no room in the middle to add in a rectangle in the middle that won't touch the ceiling, floor.
I hope this helps you out a bit until I get the video.

Posted Jan 19, 2013@Destro168 using build 1.25 however im pretty sure it is a mistake on my part. I made a dungeon and the lobby and everything works however no monsters are spawning, including the "boss". Can you help clarify how you setup the parameters for the mob-spawning? I've read the instructions a couple times now and would like to get these up and running.

Debzy86, the docs folder is inside the plugin jar. It doesn't generate. It's also online. Read the FC_Suite_Shared page again for more information.
edit: In 1.26, upon using the /world toggleRpg command you will automatically have your class chosen for you so you don't need to log out and back in. This will finally make the process seemless and straightforward for everybody. Sorry about the frustrations with this, but this should be the final solution. :).
I'm also making it so that /radmin commands can be used without a class chosen. It was, in fact, already MEANT to be usable without a class. However, I had a double check in place previously and only removed one check preventing people from using the command. In the next version you won't need a class to use /radmin. This should add another layor of ease of use.

Posted Jan 19, 2013Very sorry to keep bothering you, but my players can't reset their characters as they don't have permission. As the docs folder you mentioned wasn't created for whatever reason I have no access to a list of permission nodes! Do you have a link to a list? Thanks again for the help. Is there somewhere that I can download the docs folder? Debz x

Posted Jan 19, 2013Sorry, I just noticed that you've uploaded another file since I downloaded it! I've added that one and it has allowed me to togglerpg, however I still can't create the admin board and I'm still getting 'A class must be chosen first'. A 'docs' folder wasn't created for this jar either, same folders as before. Thanks for the help Debz x

I did try toggling first and got the 'A class must be chosen first' message so I continued reading and thought I'd try the board to see if I could chose that way. For some reason I don't have a 'docs' folder, the folders I have are guilds and userinfo (userinfo just has individual info on the players) Debz x

Posted Jan 19, 2013I already updated the help for 1.25 to specify you need to set the world to rpg first before you can run commands. Please use /world toggleRpg as I specify in the setup file. I very specifically made sure that it says to do this first before making the "wall" in the help.

The majority of this plugin is multi-worlded and will NOT work in worlds not marked as rpg. If you want commands to only work in rpg worlds, setup your permissions such that players only have command permissions in rpg worlds."

Posted Jan 19, 2013This plugin is absolutely incredible! I've added it to my server and I'm trying to get it set up but I can't create the admin board. It keeps giving me the message that a class needs to be chosen first however I can't seen to find a commands list anywhere, or a list of perms? I'm sure I'm just being absolutely blind but are you able to link me to wherever I can find the commands/perms please? Debz x

Create a dungeon normally. Never turn the "isRpg" setting to true for any worlds. Bam! You have non-rpg dungeons. Enjoy.
edit: I just want to clarify that non-rpg dungeons was never a main feature and so it could be broken by now. If you report back in a ticket any errors you get I'd be more than happy to fix them. (assuming there are any)

No. You still have to use groups. I don't intend to make my plugin handle permissions in any way. Now I can manage groups, that's no problem. I could add in the ability to have players be promoted to a different group whenever they pick a class if you think that would be useful though. Would it?
The default spell ids are listing in the default spell list. In 1.24 I have them listed in the setup file.

There are future effect ids that I intend to add. Making a new class takes about 6 hours, which is in all actually, REALLY fast. I could make a new class with 5 spells every day. It's not difficult at all. I'm just doing a lot of bugfixing and infrastructure stuff right now and in all honesty I'm pretty much done at this point. Right now I'm doing one last guild overhaul and then theoretically the plugin will be perfect. Well there is still the pvp arena, which works, but is really bad. Maybe I'll overhaul it for 1.25. So yeah creating effectIDs is generally very easy for me and doesn't take long plus I plan to add a lot more

I don't have any friendly fire settings in regards to attacking friends. If you want to disable pvp, then use World Guard. You can't heal enemies. Enemies can't attack each other.

In regards to guild, straight from the setup file: "No need to configure anything in this file currently. It's best if you don't ever alter this file currently."
However in 1.24 with the guild overhaul there will actually be things that you need to change so yeah.

I'm currently looking for a replacement for the Heroes plugin and I'd like to use this one but there are a few things I'm not seeing included. Is there any way to add unique permissions to a class? Are all available spell effects shown in the default spell list? I'd love to be able to create spells that utilize potion effects or that have other utility effects, like perhaps being able to restrict the taming of wolves or summon creatures?
Also, is there party support to prevent players from hurting friends or healing enemies? What is the guild stuff about in the config? Can a class's armor or item use (preferably through Item IDs) be restricted?
Sorry to be a pain with so many questions, i'm just genuinely curious and eager to find something I can use on my server! Looks like you've made something very impressive here!

Posted Jan 12, 20131.24 is going to be released soonish, just gotta get these new guild features implemented. 1.24 feels a lot like releasing 1.0 in a lot of ways as it is FOR THE FIRST TIME, IN OVER 8 MONTHS, WHEN MY TODO LIST IS EMPTY! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAAYAYAYAY!
Pretty much every bug should be fixed. I've got a lot of stuff I didn't add in before added in now. Thought of a few workarounds to enchantment exploits and fixed those. Pretty much solid on all fronts.
I've been working with a server that averages about 80 players generally and it's going to be using FC_Rpg so I've been working really hard on squashing bugs. 1.24 is going to be roughly the version that the server releases FC_Rpg with. Should be an eventful day.
Hopefully when all is settled I can finally start working on adding MySQL.
