About
Tired of the trolls coming in saying they work for PMC and would like OP to test out your server? Yea, I was too.
So here is a funny little plugin that allows you to troll the trolls... Give them the OPs they are salivating for and watch the hilarity ensue. FakeOps looks identical to having real OPs, but nothing actually works. Watch them try in vain to /stop your server or /ban people.
FakeOps Troll Commands
- op - fake op
- deop - fake deop (deop yourself to exit FakeOp mode)
- give - no items ever exist =D
- gamemode - no gamemodes ever exist
- stop - (kicks player with shutdown message)
- help
- kick - (fake kicks players and makes them invisible - will actually kick self)
- ban - (fake bans players and makes them invisible - will actually ban self - trololol)
- spawn - default behavior
- home - default behavior
- sethome - default behavior
- setspawn
- plugins - troll plugin list
- region - always a syntax error.
- pardon
- tell - can never find the player
- list
- version - default behavior
- warp - default behavior
- xp - removes ALL xp and levels if they try to use it on themselves
- reload - fakes a reload
Installation
- Put FakeOps.jar in your plugins directory.
- Do a /reload to reload your plugins.
- Configure your permissions if needed.
- Enjoy!
Permissions
- fakeops.use - allows use of all commands
note: OPs have access to all commands
Commands
- /fakeop <player> - Toggles FakeOp on <player>
- /fakeop list - Lists all FakeOps.

Posted Mar 15, 2014I like the idea of this plugin.. however, there is one thing that bothers me:
Commands innitiated by fakeops are not logged.. I can't really see if they fall for it or not.
Also, it would be great if you add a config file to be able set what happens if they try using a specific command.

I know the reply is a bit late, but all you have to do is /deop yourself while a fake-op to remove yourself from fakeops.

Negative. fakeops.use gives a player the ability to fakeop someone... everyone can use the troll commands if they are fakeop'd.
current fakeops cannot fakeop others... unknown command at that point.

Posted Jul 24, 2012Curious about one thing. If a player where to use the troll commands, like /ban; they would need the fakeops.use permission?
And in order to give someone the fakeop msg, you need the fakeops.use command.
So is it possible that a cunning player could just fakeop everyone?

Posted Jul 13, 2012Awesome plugin, I love how it makes the person actually convinced they're op, unlike some other ones which make it obvious they're a fake op. Commandlogger works great with this plugin so you can see what commands fakeops are using: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/commandlogger/

Do you have any other plugins that operate on base commands like that? (Aside from bukkit)...
If you want, make a ticket with all your plugins and I'll go through the list and see if anything is conflicting.
I prefer a ticket as to not spam the comments too much with technical things.

Well, there's not much to say because no errors are shown. I've tested it on another user as a real op. Each time i do /fakeop name of same player, it just says that the person has been fake-opped and the person itself always gets the message that he's been given Op :-/
The only way do deop that user is when that user does /deop own name
