FakeOP
FakeOP is designed for those admins who have requested a plugin similar to it recently.
This plugin is tested to work on the latest version of CraftBukkit as of 1.5.1-R0.1
Configuration:
command-message: Message sent when a command is blocked.
execute-commands: Commands executed when a command is blocked, %sender% is replaced with the command user.
command-triggers: Setup specific commands to be executed for specific commands being blocked.
allow-commands: Setup commands that can bypass fake op mode.
Commands:
/fakeop [Player] sets a player as a fake op.
/fakedeop [Player] removes this status from a player.
- The permission node for both these commands is "fakeop.op".
Changelog:
FakeOP 1.2:
- Commands more picky on what users to accept
- Remove overly long and confusing descriptions of otherwise simple commands
- (New!) Option in config to allow commands to bypass fake op
- (New!) Option in config to allow specific commands used as fake op to have specific actions
- Remove silly "enable-commands" toggle in config, be sure to edit your commands to avoid unwanted actions
- Add alias for /fakedeop : /defakeop
- Add compatibility for colors in command message by using the ampersand.

Posted Jun 3, 2012this is exactly what me and my moderators have been looking for! It would be great if we could have seperate results for individual commands.

Version 1.1 includes the ability to execute commands on fake operator players when using a command and works perfect on the 1.2.4 RB.

Posted Mar 30, 2012Love using it for the "planet minecraft reviewers" and guests who simply log on and ask "op pls". While I haven't played yet with the command spoofer, I still love it.
Couple of suggestions: - Allow their name to be colored so that it simulates op mode more. - Publish their commands to console so they can be logged.
I looked in the log out of curiosity to see what they were trying but sadly I only saw the unknown command message.
Either way great plugin and thanks!

People who immediately ask for OP are straight up there to grief your stuff. "No" is just a boring response after years of sever hosting and dealing with the same kind of person over, and over.
And over. Have fun.

I prefer to just let them leave on their own. This was requested by a few people, so I decided to release it. I can see where this could be expanded to have a more broad use, though, so I'll add some more features for 1.1.

Posted Feb 17, 2012Personally, I force everyone to read the rules and then ban anyone for any infraction.... which includes asking for op.

Posted Feb 17, 2012For next release, make a config file that configures actual op commands used by the fake op to do fun and terrible things to them, like a kick, mute or ban..
