What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

The config for factions is not in your plugins folder anymore. The files is in a folder called "mstore". This folder should be listed with your worlds and server.properties files etc. Inside you will find a folder called "factions_mconf" and that's where the faction config is at.

Hi, I have a little problem hope you can help me :)

So if you join the server you get a prefix from bpermissions with a color configurated from the bpermissions, it all works fine but when you join a faction you have f [fac-name] [prefix] [name player] but the prefix from the player is just white not the color I gave it anymore? I've tried and change some things in the factions config file but nothing changed or the factions prefix just dissapeared.

So joining factions will make the prefix color code white

Just disable the set chat format thing in the config. If you are using heroes chat, I think you have to set all the heroes chat stuff to blank.

That resulted into this:

I places ,'s between the worlds and then it gave no errors. Just it didn't work.

Factions works great, but when I open up the config.json, it's almost blank. It only has this text: http://pastebin.com/KN1A8yZb Any ideas? Thanks!

I want to make it so factions doesn't mess with my chat at all, as in it doesnt put the faction name before everything they say. Does anyone know how to do this? I know it is possible as I have seen faction servers with this.

Is there going to be a fix for people claiming worldguard regions? And my config is not fully working: "worldsNoClaiming": [Freebuild, arena, zombie, skyblock], people can still claim in all those worlds.

I´m having problems with factions... I followed the instructions but it´s doesn´t work in-game, and it doesn´t create any folder with a config file in... Can that I am using a mac be a cause?

I'm having problems where the Factions.jar won't create the folder, nothing in console will trigger it at all.

I'm having an issue where whether someone is in a faction or not in the chat before their name is says [FACTION] in white. I have no Idea how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OMG! This is bullshit.. Everything worked so fine before but now.. People can destroy each other blocks even if they are ally.. THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE ENEMY OR ANYTHING. Just go in and destroy theirs blocks WTF!
