What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Massivecore 2.8.4 and Factions 2.8.4 fails

My server totally refused to start with 2.8.4 backdating to 2.8.2 resumed normal operation.

So how do I set safezone/warzone for areas in a server? I have tried /f claim safezone and it said that the sub command safezone could not be found. Also, I have tried joining the safezone and warzone factions as OP to see if I could try to claim land that way, but that does not work either, since it says that the faction requires and invitation.

I was wondering could some one help me with my faction server. For some reason people can't access chest in enemy territories and I'm running a 1.7.10 server.

Could you please take back old claiming command? Like /f claim, not /f claim o, and please take back an old invitation command, /f inv, not /f inv add and /f inv rem etc. Hope you read this :). Please reply to me, would you do this or not?

Hello,

I have a question. When factions claim chunks, or gonna die, they lose power, but if the player use the command /f player, the power is not updated. How can I fix this?

Another WorlGuard question.

I was trying to use WorldGuard to set an area aside for a PVP Arena but some of the flags were failing. (Most importantly was time-lock.)

For now I have claimed the area as Warzone. (/f f says the land is still Wilderness but try and claim Warzone once more says it is owned by Warzone)

I also need to turn off natural animal and mob-spawning, but allow the use of monster spawn eggs to hurt players but not cause terrain explosions damage.

Also I noticed whilst using WordEdit in the area. After using /butcher a few seconds later the mobs returned.

Safezone problem.

Puckman's solution worked when I had the container problem here at my spawn.

Hey there! You'll find that inside the safezone at your initial spawn point there will be problems for this, as well as using buttons, ladders, doors, chests etc.

What you will want to do...is to go into your server properties and look for where it says something like safezone radius or spawn radius. I think this is normally set anywhere from 25 -50 but in this case put it to 0. Then restart your server and use WorldGuard to set your flags accordingly. Hope this helps! (And it should!)

hello! i am starting a new server and was wondering what is the best version of this is? the newest or the original. and does this over right any other plugins?? also if you want a good server also add these plugins :D BoatBug: prevents people glitching through walls with boats. Player Heads: drops player heads on death mcMMO: adds abilities and other cool things Essentials: adds kits, tpa (requests tp to other players, temp ban/mute and temp mute.

Hi guys, love the plugin but running into a weird problem and could not find the answer googling.

It seems that command blocks do not work inside claims. I created a safezone around spawn and want to have some command blocks to do things but only OP users can press buttons to activate the command block. If I place the command block outside the safezone claim them people can activate it.

Buttons work fine, if I have a button that opens a door it will open the door.

Is there any way to flag a world guard region as a warzone? So it protects every single block in that area and doesn't overlap the border?
