What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

When I try and blow up a factions land it only does damage to obsideon tnt works on non claimed land and its the same with creepers and ideas?

The configuration files or in the mstore folder, which is in the same folder as the plugins folder.

I downloaded the Factions.jar and added it to my server but the Factions folder won't load

How can i solve this?

You can't. I have created this plugin if you need to create faction aliases: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/factionsalias/

Your JSON files in mstore are corrupt, you have modified them and forgotten to close either a quotation (for example, instead of "example", you left it as "test,).

I can't regist myself to factions forum so I'll post the bug here. Simply this option doesn't work. (factions 2.8.2, worldguard 6.0.0)

Can I have the old version of factions like without the faction perms. I want the old factions when you could do /f who and be able to run on 1.8. Please help! How can older versions be ran on 1.8?

im having an issue where the config file wont show up at all, yet the plugin has been installed. i tried un-installing and reinstalling and updating to the latest version yet still nothing has shown up in the config files for this plugin.

I know a while back there had been a forum post about the possible implementation of Faction Banners, is that still a thing in progress? I'd love to be able to have everyone rep their faction's colors and possibly use them as a new way to claim land.

Bonjour, j'ai un problème j'ai un serveur sous spigot 1.7/1.8 avec le plugin faction version 1.8.1 jusqu'à présent tous ce passait bien jusqu'à ce que je remarque que quand une faction est déconnecter les claims sont indestructibles est-ce un beug ou un ajout de la 1.8.1 et si c'est un ajout s'il vous plaît dites moi comment enlever que les claim sois indestructibles quand la faction est déconnecter

Is this updated for Spigot 1.8.8? Asking because the newest version of factions keeps throwing me errors, but version 2.7.5 seems to work fine (other than the fact that the /f disband in admin mode doesn't work and throws errors).

PLEASE HELP DESPERATE. I tried to start up the server with factions but this popped up

Again it has occurred that every faction balance has randomly been reset to 0 for no apparent reason. We are running the latest Factions, FactionsTax and Factions Dynmap release direct from spigot. This has happened twice now, it's an awful, awful occurrence every time. We had to disable factions being disbanded on not paying their taxes because the first time this happened, everyone disbanded! Please look into this.
