What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Hey im currently having a problem with a specific command. /f perm that is. I dont want players to be able to edit the permissions of their faction. But I cant seem to find the node in my permissions... And I also tried looking in default server permissions and its not there either. Any help?

When placing a chest next to a cactus in a territory which isn't yours or your allies, it still drops the cactus but doesn't destroy the cactus. This allows you to get infinite cactus on servers, so please fix this asap.

When I type /f f [faction] it shows the faction name as "Default Faction (name)". How can I make it so that it doesn't say 'Default Faction' before it?

Can we please add back the greatest command, /f config? Trying to edit the "worldNoClaiming, worldNoPowerLoss, and worldIgnorePvP" is a pain when dealing with syntax. Unless someone can make it clear how to use the syntax for it, that would be great. Thanks

Still achieving so much lag in 1.8 with factions, something that does occur on other servers with same plugins ect. I'm not why though :s

Edit: It appears it was the non essentials version with factions causing most of the issues and mcmmo top command. Thanks!

Hello, I've got a question. I am currently using Faction.Jar 1.6.9.5. So I've been wondering is there a plugin or a way I can disable Wilderness, Warzone, Safezone, and Faction names from appearing in chat when they run pass it. I want it so it's harder to find bases. I've seen many servers have done this but I don't know how they did it.

Hello guys, I see you are having problems so in less detail I will explain to you what factions is. By the way I am a coder and developer for many servers.

Factions

Factions is a plugin the all players should have access to. Players have to type /f create [Faction name] to create a faction and /f desc [description of faction] to make a description of the faction they created. Those are the first 2 commands you would type in. Those are the basic commands. When you have a faction and you want to promote someone you do /f officer. You can also do /f c to go into faction chat so only the players in your faction will see you talking. If you want to delete you faction do /f disband or make someone leader do /f leader. That is basic faction plugins and if you need any help reply on this post and I will join your server and help you.

The same thing happened to me, I fixed it by making sure i have no plugins on the server, then reloaded the default config file like server.properties and the ones like that, After that, I downloaded version | R: Factions 2.5.0 MassiveCore 7.3.0 for CB 1.7.10 for CB 1.7.9-R0.2 Jul 23, 2014 | of factions, and the latest massive core, then it worked! So try that, But make sure your running craft bukkit, 1.7.10 build 3116.

There is a folder named mstore located above your plugins folder (most likely) Not inside it but in the same folder as your worlds, plugins bans etc.
