What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

I really need a way to get Factions 1.8.2 for Minecraft 1.7.9.

Does anyone have a way to get this working ?

I shut down my server (running 4 gigs of ram) put the factions and and mcore jar files in, opened up the server. restarted the server and did /pl and neither massivecore or factions are there. I checked my logs and have no errors heres my console http://pastebin.com/PTvqZnaQ

That is a player file, Most likely to be the file to the first players to join, you should be able to find it in a player file somewhere.

The bold and italic is the player file for me and the co-owner, now finding the file depends on your server, my console is on centos so the files location will be different if your server is on something else. So its probably a player, if they keep joining i suggest finding the file and just deleting it, if its a member the next time they join a fresh file will be created.

Someone PM me the answer- im running a 1.7.2 server but i don't want the 1.7.2 factions plugin i and im pretty sure everyone else prefers the 1.6.4 is there a way to downgrade the plugin without having to downgrade the server

I have this problem, a strange alphanumeric named player enters a faction randomly. He is not a player I can assure you that. Look at this pic: http://i.minus.com/ibiVBC5GpbCwvB.png

This happened few weeks ago after it, that faction was raided. It has happened 2nd time now again.

Can you make in a new update:

You can set the Safe- / WarZone with world edit. It is much easier to set the zones!

Whenever a player is in their own land and is hit by somebody not in their faction any amount of times they fail to lose any hearts.

Do you have the same issue? I use spigot 1.7.9 with Factions 2.4.0 and MCore 7.2.1. Maybe it's a bug with spigot?

This is because you are using the wrong versions of factions and mcore to the bukkit version. Factions doesn't yet support bukkit 1.7.10.

We have a 1.7.2 server and the Plugins to update aren't updated yet......So
