What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Are you talking about how much money it costs to make a claim? If so, simply go to your "/mstore/factions_uconf@universe/instance.json" file. Warning! Use a YAML editor to edit this file! Scroll down to the "econChunkCost". You will see 4 subheadings. Change "BUY" to the amount of money you want for claiming land. Finally, save the file.

Is it possible to make a cooldwon from leaving faction to joining another one? For example you can join one faction but when you leave it you can join another one only after 12 hours.

Older versions of factions made land claiming increasingly more expensive per claim. 1.7.2 does not appear to have this option. How can I make claiming land increasingly more expensive on my server?

Idk, try asking them. Maybe they're actually using 1.7.5? Or they could be using another plugin similar to Factions. The only builds I see on here were posted by a user, but they weren't approved by Bukkit yet.

MassiveCraft, you should really really update your old Faction v1.8.2, all the popular servers use it. (Gontroller PvP, #1 Factions Server) I don't want to lose your 1.8.2 legacy in the upcoming updates D:.

Keep in mind this version already has problems, for instance you can hurt enemies in non enemied faction land, and you cant prevent thigns like teleporting inside faction bases cause that function broke. Besides the fact that this version isnt UUID updated so woudnt be accepting a player when thye changed their name.

http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/factions/files/ go to this link and there can you see all te files of factions. Then you have to download the latest version without the mcore* so you have to download 1.8.2

What version uses /f who!?! the new factions is shit and uses weird improper grammer etc, 'You did buy Factions -29 13 for your faction from wilderness' and players are finding it hard to claim a radius around their base. /f who is way easier and most faction servers use it now! but where do i get it!

That's because the "OFFLINE_EXPLOSIONS" flag is not enabled. This means tnt will only explode in the other person's faction only when one of their members is online. To make it so it will explode no matter what, go to "mstore/factions_uconf@default" folder. Then, edit the "instance.json" file. Warning! Use a YAML editor to edit this file! Scroll down until you see "Default Faction Flags". Then, under "ENDERGRIEF", add "OFFLINE_EXPLOSIONS" and set it to "true". It should look like "OFFLINE_EXPLOSIONS":true

I think it's way too late. Even if you do successfully rollback to the old factions, it won't work in 1.8.

I NEED 1.7.9 SUPPORT, BADLY.

PermissionsEx updated to 1.7.9, doesnt work with 1.7.5 Factions wont work with 1.7.9, works with 1.7.5

Idk what to do! Idk what version of pex to downgrade to! Someone help.

Has anyone got a fix for players not being kicked after the inactive time yet? My world is just filling up with old claims and this issue is months old.
