What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Hope you provide an update soon. Apparently there was a big issue with spigot today which subsequently forced many servers to update to versions of spigot which causes the server to crash from factions. The only way my server can even go online at the moment is by removing this plugin. :(

I recently bought a hosted server through hosthorde. I told it to install factions but it doesn't load successfully. I double checked that I'm using the 1.7.2 version of bukkit too. Essentials is the only thing that works.

Does anybody know a way that I can manually install the files so that it's done right?

basically, what op does is it allows to do ABSOLUTELY anything on the server. That can be dangerous if you op people just to make them map-builders for example as they can absolutely ruin everything. Permissions are specifics what can some groups of people do. That way you can create group of for example moderators that can only kick some people, but cannot reassign territories or something like that.

Does factions not work for you. This will say that you are using craftbukkit / spigot 1.7.5 (Atm their isn't a legal update of mcore to fix this) But I made one myself. If you want it, just contact me on skype: arnofrutos

You are most probably using Craftbukkit/spigiot 1.7.5

Factions is not compatible with this.

Probably something changed in the bukkit API with latest updates which flags the plugin.yml as invalid. The plugin.yml looks very strange too but then again i think its just Cayorion crazyness coding wise :P

I am having the same issue as @Ravand Factions was working completely fine and had been for weeks and out of nowhere it stopped working.. I hadn't made any FTP changes to Factions or any other plugin. It doesn't show up red under /plugins it just doesn't show up. After stripping all plugins in attempt to install Mcore and Factions alone to get working, it will no longer generate a Mcore folder or start. Its' the same invalid plugin.yml on startup as @ravand.

Running a factions rpg server with SkillsAPI , MegaCreeps, MCmmo, etc, come join if you're down with a Diablo experience. 162.223.9.180:25565

This is a new server in development...in otherwords we are looking for skillful staff members with a knack for details and a good sense of morality.

ps. this plugin is stupidly perfect for various gametypes, if you're not using it, shame on you.

The folder is the mstore plugin, its on the first location when you open your FTP

Ok, so I have Factions 2.2.2 MCore 6.9.X for MC 1.6.4 and I got the MCore 6.9.0 for MC 1.6.4 but neither of them, work or show up on my server. What else do I have to do besides dragging them into my plugins folder?

I have mcore and factions plugin in the plugin folder. But when I go in my server and type /f It says unknown command. Help pls?
