What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

the folder wont be named factions if that is what you are looking for

it will be named mcore and you'll find it in your server root files (like where you would upload bukkit)

Hi do you know why my factions folder doesnt generate. Its odd because everything generates except my factions folder. And all commands work

MCore is not updated to 1.7.2, and the plugin dosen't work because that :(

Why not make the Dev Versions available for download like some other plugins do? Then when Bukkit approves it we can download it straight from here.

We need to find a way to make these updates more fluid. MassiveCraft is already using the new Faction version and it seems to be running pretty smooth, so I am willing to take the risk and use that Un-approved jar. it's kinda been a month since we lost our faction and that kind of downtime is not serious.

That being said, thanks to everyone working hard on this, it is extremely appreciated.

~~It's not in mcore's instance.json for Factions, and Factions doesn't have its own folder.~~

Found it. /mstore/factions_uconf@universe/instance.json

where? not approved yet. so we need to wait...

when? im not sure because the so-called bukkit staff is either out of hand, or too lazy to notice this cool plugins!

Come on Bukkit... Approve this already, THIS IS FACTIONS FOR GOODNESS SAKES! lol Really love this plugin and have used it on other servers! I am now barely adding it to my own server so this should be very fun to use!

How do I make it so that players can claim chunks not adjacent to their other claimed chunks? I can't find it in the config, and it's annoying the heck out of people on my friend's server.

Next time you update factions please add support for the factions tags in mulitple worlds so i can have the faction tag only show up in one of the worlds. So in chat when somebody is in world1 they have the faction tag, but when they are in world2 they dont have the faction tag in chat! Please there is no other plugins that support this please add it!
