What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Anyone know how to make it so painbuild only works against an enemy faction that is online? Also I'm not sure if it is painbuild for the spigot 1.7.2/1.6.4 but blocks placed on painbuild death are duped (places block, and drops unplaced block on death) Thanks.

Hey, whenever I claim land it spams the chat with the message that you get when you enter that area whenever I move please help !

For some reason even when I enable the economy I am unable to purchase land using the money. (BOSEconomy)

i am mildly confused by the permissions

do i actually need to enter them? or can players just use the commands without the nodes and not cause any errors?

I'm having an issue were people in one faction can destroy machines using wrenches in another players faction territory. They cannot destroy anything else in the other faction territory, just the IC2 machines. I need to know how to fix this so they cannot destroy machines that are not in their factions as I cannot ban wrenches.

Here are the plugins I'm currently running on a Yogcraft server. Factions, bedcraftdupe, essentials, groupmanager, mycommand, restrictcreative, worldguard

Is there a way to set a minimum distance to another faction for claiming land if i want to prevent factions claiming land right next to each other? for exaple i set the minimum distance to 32chunks so there is alwas 500blocks wilderness between the factions territory.

Head to the mstore folder in your main server directory. Check inside the factions_mconf folder in there, and look for the string "worldsNoPowerLoss"; Edit the string so it looks like this: "worldsNoPowerLoss": [Survival, Survival_nether], That would disable power loss in both the Survival and Survival_nether world.

Hey, I was wondering how to disable the use of commands when in another factions territory. Mainly to stop players from setting homes in other factions or teleporting people inside of a faction base.

@ProMiner909 The files are no longer generated under the Factions folder in your plugins folder, try looking in the mstore folder in your main server directory.

I will never update my factions plugin until you bring back factions chat!! WHY WOULD YOU TAKE AWAY FACTIONS CHAT!

I'm using essentials chat using format: '&6[&r{factions_roleprefix}{factions_nameforce}&6]&r&f{DISPLAYNAME}&6: &4{MESSAGE}'

Players who are not in a faction are in the [Wilderness] Faction, could I get some help here?

Also, I cannot unclaim all of the warzone land. I tried /f warunclaimall and /f unclaimall warzone, but none worked. HELP.
