What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Is it still possible to make players lose power while offline? I remember I had it configured for players to lose 1 power per day if they didn't login. I can not find this anywhere in the 2.x config. Thanks!

You can disable specific Faction features on specific worlds. This config file is located under mstore/factions_mconfig/instance.json - note that the mstore folder should be in your main directory, not in the plugin folder.

An example of my setup:

Maybe you guys should add a cooldown to changing faction names. So people cannot spam by changing the name :)

Is it just me, or does this plugin work with mcpc+? When typing /f nothing comes out. I tried lots of versions but none of them work. Please help, Cheers

Can somebody tell me how to do Factions to work in only one world? becouse i read the massivecraft tutorials but i only took a head cache :S Thx for help

yep i used last version of those 2 plugins i also updated vault but still there is many bugs. Factions work fine, but there is no way to disband them...

any other advice?

or meybe i should use old version 1.5.2 on 1.6.4 ? when i had 1.5.2 version then all work fine, if i put old plugin back it will be fine?

Someone please help! I have Mcore installed and Factions installed but when I start my server it says I don't have factions, did I do something wrong or is this a glitch? Everyone on my server wants Factions so someone please HELP!

I'm sorry and i feel sorry for the 50 plus on my server that is going to miss factions but we voted and are moving on to towny Factions was working 100% right before the update to the version to 1.6.4 it took me 6 hours about a month back to figure out why my chat is doubled after removing 122 plugins i found out factions was the one doubling my chat and now the same shit is back again that is it bye bye factions with the huge 1.6mb mcore that is required . Out of 232 votes on my site 181 want to swap to towny plus it is not a pain in the ass to config .

Just installed MCore 6.8.1 as per installation instructions, and installed Factions 2.2.1

Followed all the installation instructions on this page, but Factions fails to create the configs. All I see is "conf.json" which has the following contents:

{ "baseCommandAliases": [ "f" ], "dburi": "default" }

I've stopped and started my server 5 times now.

What else do I need to do?
