What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)

- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Posted Sep 19, 2013Does Factions work with vault economy for anyone on 1.6.2? This is my factions_uconf@default/instance.json config end:
I can't get it running. Nothing happens when I use factions money d commands for example.
If it works please help and post your plugin conf !

Posted Sep 17, 2013How can I make it so that certain ranks can access certain chunks? The only way I can find to currently do it is by doing it to each individual player, which is really annoying. Also how can I set chunk specific permissions rather then just access. So that some permissions recruits can build in but others they can only press buttons / use doors. What I am trying to do is have a stronghold with in the center of it a Command tower / palace that officers / owner can build / use containers in and members can press buttons and use doors, and a surrounding city that members / officers / owner can build / use containers in and recruits can use doors / buttons, and then a surrounding claimed wilderness (don't want it as regular wilderness so enemy clans can't shoot TNT from it / mine it for resources) that anyone in the clan or allied clan can build in / open chests in and use buttons + doors.
It is not possible to do this even player by player, as recruits need build permission in some chunks but only button / door permissions in others, which can't currently be done.
Also potentially a bug but me and my officers couldn't edit in a chunk when I did /f access f factionName no even though the website said it only stops regular members.

Posted Sep 16, 2013Alright so I finally decided to upgrade to this "new" version of factions as I was previously running 1.5.2. For some reason chat tags are not working. I have went Into the instance.json file and changed chatparsetags to true. For some reason they are still not showing up. I am using iChat and the latest version of Factions and MCore. Anyone have a idea what I am doing wrong?

I just tested 1.8.2 It rely dos work. I would Not Rely Recommend using outdated Plugins but in this case Use it if u don't like the new set up for factions u can dawn lode the old working factions plugin with old commands and set up no MCore junk. http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/factions/files/53-1-8-2/

How do i make first rank faction member have access to workbenches, doors, enchantment tables etc. buttons , levers but not edit the land area?
How do i make certain plot/chunk i have claimed to be editable by REC / MEM but not anyone outside faction + only in the plot/chunk provided for them?
I dont want members and recruits to be able edit ALL areas, just the one and two chunks i have placed for them
