What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Seems to be a lot of bugs in this update, can't disband factions, no prefixes, no longer charging money for creating factions.

I've set the economy costs. Players arent being charged. Is this a bug?

You have to start killing their faction players to make them loose power. Once their power is lower than their land you can start claiming their land.

Just a quick question. Sorry, I am a noob How exactly do you declare faction war? We want to take other factions land but we just set them as an enemy but we don't know how to declare war and take their land. How is this possible? Is it just an admin unclaiming land or something or there actually something behind this that makes war? Please help. (If you don't understand the question is how do we declare faction war and get land)

Hello, i am a noob to the new system with Mcore but when i go on my server it only has 5 pages of commands like i remember 1.4.5 it had 10 and i am owner and OP so

and the command /f power does not exist for some reason and one more problem is how do i cap the faction power.

Hey having a lot of trouble making a safezone even and making it nice so it dont go out of spawn

so i claimed all spawn and it goes out of spawn so i do /f unclaim and says im not allowed to do it?

As i got to be part of the faction, So can someone join my server 64.237.54.203:25723 and fix it for me, Looking for some Faction Pro Expert

Hello ,i am trying to get factions on my tekkit lite server. Tekkit lite runs off of minecraft 1.4.7 ,i tried using the latest factions and MCore but that factions and Mcore files did not generate.I used the 1.4.7 versions of these and the files for both of them still did not generate. I went on the server and did /f and it crashed me. Please help.

Hi, I'm having a problem with this plugin. It was working fine and then all the sudden it just "disappeared". When I do /plugins it shows both factions and mcore installed and working but yet when I do /f help it says unknown command. Anything in the config that would of done this? I really have no idea, it was the weirdest thing since it was working fine.

It is at your mstore folder

That is at your bukkit directory for example

Mine is C:\Users\Desktop|minecraft server\mstore

thats how it would be

I have disabled multiverse and essentials and when i still die i respawn at the server spawn and not my faction home... was this feature removed because i cant find it anywhere in the config for 2.X like there was in the config for 1.6

anyone know why faction homes are not the default respawn point... i cant figure out what the isue is... i use essentials and have it set to lowest on respawn priority

FYI: The factions were created on 2.0.1 and never experienced 1.x!

I was having the same problem.. I ended up deleting the file folders and restarting the server and now it works fine.. I also deleted the Lib folder , not sure if that was the folder causing the issue.. now my only problem is finding out how to get money to work in default universe

Exactly the same thing here, they can't do /f home! Fix this ASAP please, as this is a really important command!

In the newer version i can't do /f config is their an equivalent because i find the config confusing and when i stop the server and add the appropriate worlds factions stop working
