What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Guys, Ive been banging my head against a wall. How do i get the /f show and /f who command for my bukkit server? All i have that is similar is /f list. Other server have f show and f who so how do i get them. PLEASE RESPOND. NOBODY HAS EVER RESPONDED!!

We have been receiving this error since 1.6.2, mcore and factions are both updated. We have java 7 and according to this error there is something wrong with economy but that has never been enabled and it's not enabled now either.

Edit: it sends this every millisecond

How can i do, that mobs can´t spawn in players factions?

Factions is turning off my bending plugin and the bending stops working has anyone got any solution for this problem

I'm agree with that, but I had a real bug, my log file reached 1.6GB on 2-3 minutes (between the error started and I killed the server). I would like you to view what happened here, I posted it here too.

I don't care whether you like the change or not. Just read the documentation, study the plugin for a week and learn how to use it. Factions V2 is advanced. There is many config options and many possibilities. That also means you can't be a lazy server owner. You must spend loads of time to learn how to use this plugin.

Or, you know, revert to the old version for your server instead of screwing everyone over because of how drastically everything changed.

On another note! The scoreboard kind of irks me and my players. Is there any way to disable that in Factions 2.0.3?

I am wanting to have a spleef arena for my server crikycraft.com. Is it possible to have a chunk that players can build in but not claim for the spleef arena.

Can someone please send me the link of the permissions nodes that actually work?? Not the one on this page, some of them work, but some of them have different names ultimately scruing up my server. Please help!!

Whenever i post it to my server, the factions folder wont create and i when i do /f it says unknown command, i use mcprohosting to host my server

Is there any way to add a custom block to be protected inside factions?

I know that the old 1.8 let you just add the block id to the protection-list but after 2.x that choice isn't there anymore and I miss it dearly since many modded blocks are not protected.

Go to <serverfolder>\mstore\factions_uconf@default and look for:

"claimingFromOthersAllowed": true,

Just change "true" to "false"

@Pixel_Maniax : Solution found. I deleted both channels (faction and allies) and rebooted the server. It's now working fine.

Hope it could help others to avoid hours of headach :)

Hello I have a another question about the new version. I needed a factions channel system. So I installed the plugin and Herochat.

After configuring, the faction et allies channels get created. But when my players talk in these channels, all the other players (including other factions and not allies) can see each others text.

Any idea about how to fix this? Thanks and cheers :)
