What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

server not as easy as you thought? :P you need yo download and install the mcore plugin too.

As for new factions, to me everything just makes more sense than before, but change is always difficult to take guys

its a good thing i still have version 1.6.9.4 from when my server first was created with mc version 1.4.7, i was thinking about updateing all my old plugins but i think ill stick with my old factions cuz it sounds like the older versions are way better than the newer versions

I totally agree no body likes the new version on my server and my friends don't like it either, servers are removing this plugin because its slowly getting ruined. Honestly I wish that plugins would just stop trying to make plugins better by adding stuff if it was never broken DON'T FIX IT.

When I download this plugin and restart the server and I type f create nothing happens. It just says f create straight out in the chat.I also tried typing /f create but it says unknown command. Also in the server files there is no Factions file only the .jar file. What should I do?

Just saying but...

NO ONE LIKES THE NEW VERSION YOUR SLOWLY RUINING THE PLUGIN HAVEN'T YOU GOT THE MESSAGE BY NOW WITH ALL THE COMMENTS WITH COMPLAINTS AND PROBLEMS THEIR HAVING? GO BACK TO THE OLD VERSION OR YOUR GOING TO SLOWLY RUIN THIS AWESOME PLUGIN.

How can i set that when a faction is empty it's automatically disbanded and lose it's territory? I tried by putting the faction flag permanent to false and keeping the "autoleavesafterdaysofinactivity" to 0 but it didn't work... any help?

This error occurs when I try to edit my conf.json file, tryed to add the offline-region-protection that you've add at version 1.8.2. Error:http://pastebin.com/scaDUTKk

The file:

another question what is "dburi" is it the database?

how come when i tried to claim a land it said "You May not Claim this chunk while Enemy is within it." how do i fix this?

I have followed the guide. It does not work. Yes, I am using Factions 2.0.1 and the latest Essentials dev build that has the fix. What I don't understand is why {factions_relcolor} doesn't work any longer, as it worked in 1.8.2. I am still unable to get "{factions_roleprefix}" and "{factions_nameforce}" to function, as it states those words instead of replacing it with the proper data.

What is the best way to check if a player is in enemy territory? It looks like the methods have changed since the version 1.8.2.

I have the latest dev build of essencials and I copied your code exactly however colors do not work properly and I am getting [Wilderness] Name when I am not in a faction. I think I will stick with 1.8 until these bugs are fixed.

Hi, I downloaded Factions for my server, and I have one problem. When I create the faction, the faction tag won't show up in front of my name. I checked the config and I can't see anything to change this. I hope someone can help me. Thanks
