What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Found a possible bug in Factions 2.0.0, I'm not sure whether its fixed in Factions 2.0.1 though.

It looks like the pipe option "ucf" would be the problem here.

Edit: A fix would be to remove the pipe options.

Also, could you change it so that {factions_roleprefix} will not add anything if a player is factionless?

In the new 2.0.0 version, how can I get a 'Faction' from a location.
Tried searching in FactionColl but I don't seem to find it ;)

It works for me. Log on to the sever and do /f list and /f f. You should be in the same faction as before.

@Cayorion: I have compiled the plugin with the newest source from GitHub but the problem doesn't seem to get solved. Still doesn't migrate. It just renames the old files to "conf.json.migrated" for example.

hello there, I just updated to 2.0.0 everything goes fine. There is just one probleme everyone has been kicked out of his faction :o how to fix this?

To those of you that had issues migrating from 1.8 you were right. There was a bug present. This commit should fix it: https://github.com/MassiveCraft/Factions/commit/6339861819c0d6f5337440dc856d9de78f6f373b

Feel free to compile and test the bugfix.

@Cayorion The same porblem is in Herochat, but only in global config, in chat local config everything is fine, except factions relation color.

The issue with EssentialsChat seems to be on Essentials side of things. I have made a ticket explaining the issue: https://www.assembla.com/spaces/essentials/support/tickets/4403-essentialschat-replaces-curly-braces-with-square-ones

Are you a developer? Feel free to help the Essentials team out with fixing this bug.
