What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Hello, I'm writing to ask how can I change the language of message "WarZone - Not the safest place to be" and Wilderness. I have looked in the .jar and in announcements, but I didn't find these messages. Thanks.

i have configured it allready, just replace the container entry under factionPermDefaults in the conf.json with this:

Hello, i have a question.. i'm using "mcpc" 1.4.7, which factions do i need use? since i used R: 1.6.9.4 for CB 1.4.7-R1.0 Dec 19, 2012 i get the plugin crash... i also tryed the R: 1.8.0 for CB 1.4.7-R1.0 Dec 19, 2012 (it's showed onto mcpc forum at 'patched plugin) and seems works but i can't use chat. seem there is no command like /f c; /fc; /f chat and so no

seem that chat function has been removed since i can't spy it too.

I am using v1.8.2 and I want to allow people to open chests in other factions territory but I can't find anything in the config, anyone have any idea?

SO I managed to figure out about the Flags so I was able to again remove powerloss and friendly-fire from Warzone but I'm not sure if I am overlooking it or if it isn't in yet but how would a faction member access faction chat?? I saw ''HeroChat integration'' but does that mean that it's required now? Enlighten me.

EDIT One last thing, players weren't able to use /f officer and the nodes factions.mod wouldn't work so I threw in factions.officer for our member group and I guess it was a lucky hit because they have it now. I didn't see that specific node in the perms info so in-case anybody else was wondering the same then that's what the node is: factions.officer

When i update to the lastest version of of Factions. all factions are this prefix : &f[FACTIONS] how to fix so i see the faction name only?

I guess it will work like [world, survival, creative] but I'm not using it myself so not totally sure. You can use /f config worldsNoClaiming worldname which will work. Details are @ http://massivecraft.com/plugins/factions/config

You'll need to put the worlds that aren't for factions in the config at: "worldsNoClaiming": [] You might wanna look into "worldsNoPowerLoss": [] and "worldsIgnorePvP": [] also.

Hello, I love this plugin but ive got a question: In my server everyone claims wherever they want, sill if it si protected with world guard. i want the users to claim just in the Faction world (that i created)

Help! Factions is reset each time!

Mine works fine, you have to fix the config in the essentials config.

essentials:

make sure the chat format looks like this

format: '[factions_relcolor]&a[{factions_tag}]&r {DISPLAYNAME}&f:&r {MESSAGE}'
