What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)
New In Factions 2.8
- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Posted Jan 21, 2013Can there be integration for Survival Games (http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/survival-games)? So in arenas, you can PVP against your allies and people in your faction.

Use WarZone, it also protects but also PVP. Just do /f claim warzone

Posted Jan 21, 2013How can I turn ON PvP in a safe zone? It sounds stupid but I already have world guard protecting the areas that I want to protect, but the reason I ask is because I use safe zone for protecting my spawn from others trying to claim that land. And since my PvP arena is at my spawn and used safe zone to protect it from claims, it is now also protected from PvP. PLEASE HELP!

Posted Jan 21, 2013I also have a problem it seems as though every faction has an unnecessary f at the end for example if i created a faction Masters it would come out as Mastersf. Please tell me how to fix this thank you.

Posted Jan 20, 2013I love the plugin but i encountered a problem that needs to be fixed. I have neen running my server for quite a while and I decided to add the factions plugin. When I added the plugin my PermissionsEx is not working AT ALL what so ever. I've tried everything but when I remove the factions plugin Pex works. It's too late to change to another permission plugin or even not use factions because my server is build around them. Can anyone help me resolve the problem as quick as possible?

I STRONGLY Agree with what garan said, Example In My MiniGames World, In TF2 If you and your friend want to fight and play against each other but are members in the same faction/ally it says "You can't Hurt [NAME]". Please add an option so it can say Which Worlds disable factions completely or Which Worlds Allow Ally/Member Combat, Thanks.

I think this plugin is awesome. But, when I join a faction, my prefix is gone. Example:
Before: [King]maybeitscool> blabla
After: Faction1 maybeitscool> blabla
Can I combine these two?

Posted Jan 19, 2013Hello, I was wondering if you were planning on adding safety features for offline factions (Using Beta Builds). I don't want enemies blowing into another person's base when they're offline, it ruins the purpose of anti-grief. Also, this continues to be my favorite plugin overall and you guys do a wonderful job maintaining and updating it. Thank you!
