What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)

- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

There haven't been any changes in our LWC integration code lately, so probably not. Another dev contributed that code and I've never even used it though, so I don't know for sure.

Posted Jan 15, 2013With the LWC, reset locks upon claim, i set that to true but the locks do not reset when people claim land. I do not have the highest version of factions. Is this fixed in the latest version? Thanks,

Just disable that option. You can enable it again afterwards.

On another note, is there a way to bypass your check where the plugin checks if you're in a WorldGuard region before claiming a safezone or warzone? I need to put a warzone over my mobarena (which is in spawn), but I can't get rid of the region protecting spawn.

The command is the only way a powerboost would be set in the first place, without intervention by another plugin hooking into Factions or something like that.
So you're trying to tell me that if you use /f power beforehand, it indicates no bonus, but after joining that faction (and by extension after leaving it), /f power then indicates you do have a bonus ("bonus: 20")? There's nothing in the Factions plugin itself that would do that.

There isn't. You can only unclaim a single territory, or unclaim all. You could however probably use admin bypass mode to do a radius claim for the Wilderness faction (just leave the faction you're in, if you are in one) to effectively unclaim a large area.

Posted Jan 15, 2013is there an autodeclaim just like autoclaim? or a declaim [radius]?? i just claimed a bunch of chunks (warzone) and i cant find a way to declaim autotamically as i walk by them or by radius...

Posted Jan 15, 2013No one has used the command, though, that's what I'm trying to say. Only I have access to the command. I just tested it by joining a peaceful faction and checking my power, which had a powerboost of 20 now (it was default beforehand). I then left the faction and kept the power bonus, which according to you, shouldn't happen.

I just explained how they wouldn't be keeping the power boost itself. As for why it's there, somebody would have put it in place using the command.

The powerboost would presumably be attached to the faction from what you describe. Players would not retain the actual powerboost when leaving the faction, that's not how it works. They could potentially max out their power (to the their normal maximum level) by joining and then shortly leaving that faction if the faction's powerboost were high enough, since a powerboost also affects the minimum power level (not just maximum) and can therefore increase the player's power to the new minimum level if it were below that.

In 1.7.x+ you can potentially set the peaceful faction flag (via /f flag) to default to being on. You then might need to set that flag back for specific existing factions that you don't want to be peaceful.

For various protection permissions, use /f perm. Also check /f flag. There isn't an online/offline distinction for protections in 1.7.x+, though; that was one of the removed features.

Through /f powerboost, maybe? That does however require the factions.powerboost permission to use.

Posted Jan 15, 2013Members of factions are gaining bonus power for supposedly no reason. Is there a fix or a way to reset bonus power? Everyone who joins a peaceful faction gains a bonus 20 power and keeps it when they leave; This is in factions 1.8.0.

Posted Jan 15, 2013So I am struggling with setting up the new 1.8 have been putting off updating for a while now hoping for some type of documentation. Is there any documentation on the removed features and added features? I see the protected materials and deny useage is gone but I can't seem to get it so neutral factions cannot access pressure plates buttons etc. Does anyone have an example config set up already which doesn't let neutral or enemy or ally factions use anything inside a factions land? I see the area to disable neutral enemy commands but usually below that there was protectrf materials and denyuseafe online and offline
