What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

I have disabled wilderness protection, claims etc. (all multiworld support settings) in my other words and yet when I go to those worlds, a little message still pops up saying wilderness How do I fix this?

minecraft how to make faction claim smaller? I've searched this so many times and cannot find the answer. How do you manage to change how much the /f claim does? I want it to only claim one blog down, and 4 blocks high. How do I manage to do this?

why cant i edit the faction config you couldnt of coded it like the rest where u can easily edit it because the /f lock off doesnt work even when i save it

Looking at the source code, looks like the faction chat is only available in the jar download, not the zip download. Make sure you have the jar download rather than the zip download.

Apparently they removed it... I don't know why but they also removed tags earlier in the 1.7 branch for some reason, maybe it's the same reason. My players keep bitching for fac/ally chat and I don't know what to do... :/

Was there a permission node update or a new in game command to toggle faction chats?
/f chat no longer works for me even as an opped player..

for some reason factions does show the tag in all worlds, before it only replaced the [FACTION] tag in the townychat config. now it doesnt and shows the faction name in all worlds. how to fix?

The current version of factions does not show the suffix from permissionsex. Any fix?

@JDSCraft: As you said farther down in the chat: To fix the a[faction name]r type the following command below as an op f config chatTagInsertIndex 0 That should fix it.

That didn't work. The chat still doesn't show the suffix, same problem as comment above^^

Is there a way I can disable the alliance chat feature? I don't want to disable faction chat, just alliance.

Hey, this feature is already.

“homesMustBeInClaimedTerritory”: true, – whether to require faction homes to be set only inside the faction’s own territory

So ingame, type the following below as an OP

f config homesMustBeInClaimedTerritory false

I made it so you need at least 100 players in a faction to claim land SINCE i don't want them able to claim land. BUT now they can't do /f sethome since they need to do it inside claimed land....

So can you please add the option in the config to disable/enable claim land. And also to disable/enable to set faction home, regardless if you claimed land or not.

Please? :)
