What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)
New In Factions 2.8
- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Posted Dec 27, 2012Hi guys, first of all, merry Christmas to everyone! now, I'd like to know if I can translate Factions in Italian on my server, a lot of people don't understand it and since mine is an Italian server, I wanna translate all plugins. So, is there a way to translate Factions? Thank you very much! Merry Christmas again!

Hey, this may not be what your looking for - but this is the closest thing I could find for you,
“territoryShieldFactor”: 0.5 If a player is hurt by an enemy in it’s own territory the player will not take full damage. The damage will be reduced with this factor. Set it to 1.0 and it will be impossible to kill someone in their own territory.
So if you set that to 1.0 - anyone in their own faction lands would be invincible. They would still be able to kill others who came into their faction land - but eventually no one would do that because it would be suicidal. So that would kinda stop pvp in factions area.

f config chatTagInsertIndex 0
That should fix it.

Posted Dec 27, 2012Guys Please. There is any command or Config to STOP PVP inside Factions even if they are at WAR? I have a server where i dont want them to have PVP inside Factions but only at wilderness. I really need this and the shield territory seems not working :( Waiting answer :)

Posted Dec 25, 2012Does the [Faction] insert string with herochat? Because when I put in [Faction] with 1.6.9.4 all it does is display the insert string in chat and not the faction name. I went through the FAQ but I couldn't find anything that could help resolve this issue.

Create a ticket with sufficient info. CraftBukkit build # and Factions version (both copied from server startup log, not guessed or assumed) and the contents of your conf.json, then specific info on exactly what is being used in enemy territory that you think shouldn't be allowed.

Posted Dec 24, 2012Quick question. Does admin bypass mean for faction admins or server admins? I am the owner of my server and I want to have bypass for myself, but not for every admin of a faction! Please help.
