What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

if i enable Faction chat it have show : Mafia [PvP] Chopstick121:hi how can i make it the faction names infront of the World Name(type) and have ally enemy color ?

Mate, just add the Bukkit enum to the denied blocks section in the config, under DIODE_BLOCK_OFF. You just need to add ITEM_FRAME to territoryProtectedMaterials and terrioryProtectedMaterialsWhenOffline.

Backup your config first, as Factions might not like this.

Well I haven't had any issues running factions on 1.4.2. I have not had any warnings or errors as of yet, and my server has been up since the update. The name looks correct in chat, but not sure if there are minor errors I haven't noticed as of yet. If you want to confirm this check out my server realzserver.no-ip.org

Is there a factions plugin out for 1.4.2 at all? I would be fine if the item frames aren't protected. I just won't use them. My server was just recently up but since I can't update I can't get donations so my server's going to go down soon.

When any trys to create a faction on my server in from of there factions name it says f[Fname] r

Hi brett when i type a command that has to do with factions it says nothing and the consloe says this

Factions 1.4.2 is not going to be out until Bukkit releases the information on item frames, so factions can protect them like a painting for instance.

To change faction chat channels you do /f c

To Gain power towards your faction wait over time without dieing. You can also edit your faction config to make it so every player starts with 10 or so power, and you can change the regeneration rate from 0.2 per minute to like 1 per minute.

To Edit your config file make sure your server is offline and then edit the file. Otherwise you can use Plugman do /plugman disable factions, then edit the config save it and then /plugman enable factions.

Does 1.7.7 not support faction chat? when i do /f fc i get the message

"This version of Factions does not support changing chat mode"

Is there a way to allow players to change channels in the config or is that a 1.6 thing only.

It regenerates per time. I think it was 0.2 Power every Minute.

Hello i nned help when ever i try to do /f create to make a faction on my server it saysnothing and the console says this:[Server] WARNING [Factions v1.6.9] Non existing factionId 0 requested! Issuing cleaning! reply soon please. thank you.

Simply going into your faction config, then go to the section I pasted below. In one of those it should have your unwanted tag before the faction, simply remove it then restart the server I don't think a reload will be effective. Hope this helps!
