What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

help, i upgraded to CB 1.3.2 rev 2.0 and everyone has a letters before and after their names. ie. a *faction r

I assume it has somthing to do with the colors, help

ok so in my config i have world guard checking but i read that factions messes with the flag chat-send or something like that witch is true so i turned that on but the flag is still disabled becuase of factions?

Olof stripped out the faction chat for a custom implementation of chat channels in HeroChat. Some people have run into problems with HeroChat integration, while it's working fine for others; I haven't even tried that part out for myself. IIRC the FactionsPlus plugin might add back in faction chat, not sure there.

"I don't take shit from anybody" usually translates to "I like to fly off the handle if anybody so much as looks at me funny". More likely to land you in trouble than to make people think you're cool or tough or whatever, particularly when you're asking for help, but YMMV.
As for your problem, I see you noticed that 1.6.9 != 1.6.9.1.

I'm not trying to be a dick but wen you make fun of me I don't take shit from anybody. I am trying to make plugins too. I'm working on a plugin that can block enderpearls from being thrown in a certain area. (For PVP Servers) Not sure if it's possible or already made but I thought it be fun. what a dick you are, the developer for factions works hard and does his best to manage everyone for this great plugin and your taking it for granted. maybe you should try reading your error yourself it might help you.

Thanks for the great plugin, just got a question though. im running factions v.1.7.7_Beta works great though ive noticed a few things were changed such as f officer and f leader. totally fine i kinda like it better that way but my real question is will f chat be coming bac? a few of my users really miss it along with the ally and faction chats. thanks again :)

I'll throw back what you asked me: who the fuck do you think you're talking to? Clearly not the person who is working on the free plugin you are using and providing free support for said plugin. Nobody owes you anything.
On that note, never mind posting any more requests for help or the rest of the error. You're clearly enough of a badass to figure it out yourself.

Hello, i got a Tekkit server, and badly require the amazing "safezone" feature of factions. I can't seem to get it to work on my server, no madder what version I use. Can you enlighten me on what I can do to get it to work, or can you update a version to allow use with Tekkit? That would be awesome, thanks!

Other than a couple of minor things that need to be accounted for in CraftBukkit 1.4.2, Factions is otherwise compatible. For those minor things, there will be a new release to address them probably within a week or so. Maybe sooner, maybe not; you'll just have to wait.

I've been trying to run factions v1.6.9.1 and it says it is outdated. Is there a download for a new version somewhere or are you guys developing one now? Sorry if this was already asked but I was confused when you said "It will be updated when it needs to be." -zzirShock

Could you tell me where can I download the latest build (for 1.4.2)? Or shall I use the latest build here (for 1.3.2)? (this link on massivecraft.com doesn't have any newer versions :c) Regards, desu.
