Vault is optional, only needed if you want economy integration.
@dillyg10
Actually the latest Beta build (1.3.2-R0.1, build 2352) is newer than the latest Recommended build (1.3.1-R2.0, build 2340), not the other way around. It's therefore not a downgrade to be using the Beta. Other than that you're entirely correct.
@jrbudda
You can use FPlayers.get(Player player) to get an FPlayer object for a given player, which provides full access to pretty much all data and methods used by Factions itself. The getTag() method would then provide what you're after.
@Luxius96
It's on GitHub under the 1.6.x branch (main branch is 1.7.x).
@lst96
Refer to your ticket for info on chat integration in 1.7.5+. http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/factions/tickets/391-faction-tag-not-working/

Posted Sep 10, 2012Hey guys, Brettflan has already said this, but 1.6.9.1 is not compatible with the latest build (R 2.0) You can download an older version of Crafbukkit, just go to
http://dl.bukkit.org/downloads/craftbukkit/
Click on the "R 0.1 Beta Build" and download it. Then your server should be 100% compatible with the latest release of factions :).
But, if you don't want to downgrade, the fixes that are needed are really easy to make it compatible with R 2.0. If you put it into eclipse with the 2.0 release, you will see many red lines under import statements, becuase the files for gson have moved. They have moved to just
com.google.gson.*.
So change your imports accordingly, and in P.java change line 91, and remove the lib.whatever

Posted Sep 10, 2012@bob71: that's subjective. I run on 1.3.2 just fine, better than on 1.3.1 builds. Maybe check your plugin list to see what might be causing your problems.
@tygo246: Learn how to use groupmanager and set all the permissions properly. On an unrelated note, you should never give your players OP. If you ever have to do that, you are doing something wrong. ._.
Currently, I am running 1.7.7 smoothly with the latest 1.3.2 dev build that was just released. The only thing missing is relational colors.... but from load up times to just general experience, factions is running smooth.

Did you see the screenshot? Every time I say anything it says what I said twice. Once normally and again with a prefix that says FACTION in double brackets. It's not normal. And does it normally show that Wilderness thing when you do /f who when you're not in a faction? I've never seen that before either.

Alright. 1.3.2 lags like hell, that's why i asked for a 1.3.1 compiled build.

Wilderness = factionless.
@bob7l
If you feel you absolutely must have the other changes in our two newest releases, you have two choices: either update to CraftBukkit 1.3.2-R0.1 Beta which actually seems like it might be more stable than 1.3.1-R2.0 Recommended, or download our source from GitHub and compile it yourself with that change switched back.

Posted Sep 9, 2012I suggest you compile this for RB-1.3.1.. 1.3.2 was simply a test, and is no longer being pushed.

Pretty sure anyone is allowed to do this. I mean, charging money to use a plugin is like charging money to become administrator, its fair and you pay a little money to get more commands and access to better plugins. A good example would be me charging people to make their own faction (whereas they can only join factions regularly. If this was not allowed, a LOT of servers would be breaking the law

IP: Dirtcraftserver.zapto.org:25566

OK, so that's nothing to do with the SafeZone or WarZone then, those are always ID -1 and -2. That was cleanup of claimed land for a faction that no longer existed.
The NPE was linked to that faction being removed right as it was checking whether a monster should be allowed to spawn in one of those previously claimed locations, with the faction no longer existing. The error wouldn't have actually caused any problems.
Are you running a server which doesn't authenticate with the official Minecraft authentication server? There are apparently hacks available which would allow a user to masquerade as somebody else and gain their permissions, potentially even with custom authentication plugins installed.
