Epicpets is a plugin where you can own a pet of your own.
You can ride it, open its inventory and it can even fight for you!
Warning: There may still be a few bugs with it. Please post them in the comment's else they may/will not get fixed.

For example I don't want to give them permission to ride pets, is there a node I can negate for that?
Also limiting how many pets 1 person can have and which pet they can get.
