EpicGear

Description

With EpicGear you can take your server's PvP or PvE to the next level by creating your own custom armor and weapons. Change the name, lore, armor value, cost, durability, enchants and potion effects on weapons (sword, axe, and bow) and armor (dyed leather) to make your unique gear.

Customization

Create your gear by simply following the outline in the config and setting your desired specifications for each weapon or armor piece's category.
All of the information you need to get started is right here! An easy-to-follow guide with example gear can be found on our Configuration Page.

Economy

This plugin hooks into Vault, so it works seamlessly with any economy that uses Vault (Vault is not required for this plugin to work though!). You can also set any item as a "money item" to use as currency to purchase EpicGear.

Commands

/eg buy <displayname> - Buy armor <displayname> for <cost> of <moneyitem>
/eg reload - Reload updated Config
/eg info [displayname] - Shows whatever is put in the "info" section of any piece of EpicGear
/eg store - Pulls up a list of all EpicGear that you're created

I looked into what the "armorhook" does and it works as i thought, i.e. you could change the "armor value" for leather armor in general but not just one piece or one color, it would be for all leather armor on the whole server.

Aside from my question i also have a suggestion. I talked before about an option to change the armor value. I think the pvphighest and lowestdmg is not the easiest option to balance towards normal diamond gear (or better).

You said it was not possible to change those values but i found an inactive open source plugin which claims to have armor value support!! I don't know much java, but maybe you can look in to this: https://code.google.com/p/vacuum-changedamage/source/browse/trunk/src/vacuum/changedamage/hooks/ArmorHook.java

Original plugin: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/changedamage/ The features says "Armor protection".

Would be awesome to have an changable armor value in the config file. Lets says we have an diamond chest which has 8 armor. When i know this value would be able to make an EpicGear chest like so:

Chestplate: Name: Leatherchest as good as diamond! DisplayName: alberanchest Cost: 15 Lore: Armor: 8 Durability: .8 CanEnchant: False DrinkPotionEffects: - speed,0.2,5 SplashPotionEffects: - blindness,0.1,20 - wither,0.5,10

If you could implement this plus armor enchantments which i asked in my other reply i would surely make a donation!! Right now i just can't use the plugin cause i cant guarantee my players the Epicgear is the same as Diamond gear and they also have no enchants :(

What do you think?

Put "'" around it if it starts with a color code. EX: '&cColored weapon name'

The armor pieces are dyed leather only :3 Will look into possible durability issue.

need to allow armor types other then leather. and durability 1 in armor doesn't work. armor takes normal durability loss

Why cant I get the name and lore to change color? I put in &eThen the name, then when I spawn the item it just deletes the first word of the name and lore. do you use a special symbol other then &?

I still takes the same amount of damage when im wearing Epic Gear armor as when im using normal Leather armor. Please help

when you hit me you get potion effects and stuff like that

it isnt working, nothing is happening when they hit me?
