EnchantLimiter

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Some servers wish to limit the enchants that are available to players. This plugin allows them to.

Supported Enchantments:
Swords:
- Sharpness
- Fire Aspect
- Knockback
Armour:
- Protection
- Fire Protection
- Projectile Protection
- Thorns
Bows:
- Power
- Flame
- Punch

Functionality

If there is an existing item with an enchant which is not allowed with this plugin, it will be scaled down.
Players will not be able to enchant an item above the specified levels in the config file

Unfortunately there is no API functionality to disable combining on anvils. However once the items are made they will be scaled down, so no worries there.

To do

Add functionality for other enchantments
Ensure the configuration reloading command actually works.
Bug - if too many enchants are disabled and someone tries to enchant, it will sometimes not enchant an item but take the levels of XP.

Uh 5 years i think have passed but you know that it glitches crossbow it makes their arrows or fireworks infinite and it becomes unbrekable

I can't seem to get this to work in 1.7.2.

Anybody else having problems? It worked in 1.6.4, but maybe things have changed too much?

If this works on later versions of minecraft just add them in the downloading section... like this works for 1.4.5 1.5.2 and 1.6.x to avoid confusion. I almost realized this plugin was outdated.

THANK YOU. I hate those kind of posts (no offense @missingscrews ). But anyway, I ran across this plugin request, and though it would be a nice feature to implement. I would have used a ticket, but it wasn't available. If you no longer would like to update this, I could take this over.

You may perhaps be new to this, however for future reference it's generally accepted that most plugins are backwards compatible with older/newer versions as appropriate, to an extent.

Hey there Guyag!!

I am using your plugin on my server, and I noticed an issue! For some reason, bows that are enchanted by a player through an anvil will have UNLIMITED durability! All you have to do is click on the bow when its about to break, and it seems to "update" to full durability.

To recreate this issue, get a normal bow, an anvil, and any Book with a bow enchant. Use the anvil to enchant the bow, and lower the bows durability. Next, when your bow is damaged, click on it, and move it to another slot. The durability should be repaired.

I have no idea why this is happening, considering it only effects bows, and nothing else. Please fix this soon, and if there's any way I can help, do not hesitate to ask me!
