EmailAsker
EmailAsker
DESCRIPTION
EmailAsker is a VERY small plugin that only comes with one command and no permissions!
HOW TO USE
This may be, one of the EASIEST plugins to use. All you have to do, is type /EnterEmail {Email}. Very simple, right? Now, what that command does, is it saves a .yml file (which doesn't even matter), with the name of the person, and then their Email, you don't even have to open the file! It's that easy.
COMMANDS
/EnterEmail - Allows the user to enter their Email for the database.
PERMISSIONS
There are no permissions! Isn't that awesome? Why shouldn't everyone be able to enter their Email?
EXAMPLE
if I did /EnterEmail example@example.com and my name was DulexZach, you would go into your plugins folder, go into the EmailAsker folder, and then you'd see a file named DulexZach - example@example.com, that's it.
WHY WOULD I USE THIS?
You would most likely use this plugin if you wanted to send out a newsletter, or you wanted to get people's Emails so that you could Email them in case of an IP change, or something fatal to your server so you don't lose all of your players.
Note: This is a very small plugin and was originally just made for my server (209.188.22.234:25634). It was made in 2 hours. This may or may not be updated. No haters please. :3

Sending emails through java is pretty easy, check out the Resources section.

I believe I understand what you mean, and as a little bit of an amateur plugin developer, I don't believe I could do it :P But maybe if I ever get more advanced (which hopefully will happen), I will try this.

I meant that you could send e-mails through Minecraft. Your plugin just saves e-mails addresses, but if you were to expand it... you could make it so that you could SEND e-mails (if possible, I dunno.) I imagine that it would happen in a similar fashion as Tweeting through Minecraft. Well, if you choose not to update, I understand; This was only for yourself.

I do not quite know what you mean, but once again (as I stated at the bottom of this plugin), this was originally just made for my server and I didn't really want to go into great detail with arguments and stuff considering I'm a bit of an amateur plugin developer. I do not believe I will update this plugin at all (unless a whole new version of Minecraft comes out and people actually are downloading it).

Posted Aug 10, 2013I don't know if this would even be possible, but this is what I thought this was going to be when I began reading it:
You entered an e-mail address and a name/tag for that address. Then you could set an e-mail of either a user, group, or the server, and e-mail anyone from the previously created e-mails using their names/tags. Maybe it would go like this: /email <name/tag> <subject> <text> Also, you might be able to add the option to Carbon-Copy.
