Description
There are a lot of plugins that let you toggle/do something by simply hitting a Sign or typing a command. But that's a little unrealistic. If you can't hit a Piston with your hand to make it work, why should any other mechanism be any different? ElectriCraft lets you move mechanisms, build new block structures, control lighting, create electrical devices, and more ALL with the power of Redstone!

Installation
- Place the ElectriCraft.jar into your /plugins folder
- Run and close the server to start ElectriCraft
- ElectriCraft's config.yml and .ecf block files will be auto-generated

Bugs/Issues
- Let me know what you find, please! Submit a Ticket if you have any issues.
- Furnaces currently don't maintain their direction when switching between on/off states. It looks best as floor/ceiling lights for now.
- Plugins that modify the drops of blocks MIGHT conflict with protected blocks and drop them anyway.

Posted Feb 25, 2012This plugin needs to have a time delay option between actions, if there was an option that admins could set so that EC objects like cubes and everything else can only be used say once every 3 seconds it would help avoid major exploits this like one. One exploit that will crash the server every time, is a cube that cuts off its own redstone power supply, it will get stuck in an infinite loop of turning on and off, as fast as the server is able to process it until the server overloads and crashes. It usually only takes 2-3 seconds to bring down the server when this happens. An example of a server crashing cube is below. For the Electric craft sign you can use
(20 20 20 20 will ensure a crash but is not needed, all you have to do is create a continuous loop)

That or make your plugin detect when it starts a continuous loop and break the connection/operation.

Posted Feb 4, 2012I made a gate out of iron bars that, when it's closed, the base of it is powered by redstone. Electric gate >:D Awesome plugin! My only complaint is that most blocks that change when powered could be abused by powering/depowering them and then picking them up again :P

Posted Jan 31, 2012So i installed Electricraft (nice btw), but after adding permissions to destroy anything, i still get the message "Sign protected by !"
Is this a known bug? (If so, i haven't seen it), and if not, can someone help me out?
I'm using EssentialsGroupManager, and all permissions are added to the default group, so that anyone on my server would have rights to these creations.
P.S. - I've been able to get around this by making myself an Op, but i want to avoid this if at all possible.

Posted Jan 31, 2012Thanks for an awesome plugin. I was wondering with if it would be possible to make it so that there would't have to be air between the gate and the signs. Like right now I can't hide my signs underground and have the gate above, cause they require the free space. Hopes this makes sence.

While I'm not entirely sure how WorldEdit works, it sounds like the Sign isn't being broken. It sounds like its Type Id is being changed. If you don't want to use a device, you need to physically break the Sign. That way ElectriCraft can tell if a player is breaking it so it can check to see if the Sign is protected or not.
I should've put what format the time was in on the Time Sensor page. It uses the Sign's World time, so the Time Sensor's values need to be between 0-24000. So if you set a Time Sensor for "14000 0", then it'll send power while it's nighttime.
As for the particles still shooting from the old Sign, I think that's an actual bug. I'll do some testing. It should be fixed in the next version.

Posted Jan 25, 2012When I build a gate (for example), activate it and then remove it using WorldEdit, the blocks remain unbreakable. In my opinion, the gate should get unregistered at the moment when WorldEdit affects any of its blocks. There is the same problem with other devices making blocks unbreakable when active.
I also tried newest EC v2.3 (Test) and I can make the light sensor work, but not the time sensor. How the time should be formatted? I tried to simply use hours and then hh:mm and both didn't work for me. Furthermore I also observed some weird behaviour of these signs when I was replacing them. While I was editing the sign the I heard a placement sounds repeating in relatively small intervals, the sign flicked each time and dropped those particles. I'm not sure, but maybe I had a problem to remove the previous sign and removed it using WorldEdit.

Posted Jan 22, 2012The permissions setup is a little old. I had it coded to the old Permissions 2.x/3.x. Once Bukkit has a new 1.1 RB, ElectriCraft will be able to to use whatever Bukkit permissions plugin you're running. Wait for v2.3! Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm working on it! :)

Posted Jan 21, 2012There is only one thing missing... how about adding a simple light sensor sign (like all other component signs)? When the light level is at or below the specified light level on the [EC] lightsensor sign (which is the value displayed on the sign), the sign powers all blocks around it like a redstone torch would.

I know there are other plugins that do light sensing, but they involve using glass blocks and all kinds of other things to do it. This does everything else, and the sign use is the best format I have seen/used for all of this stuff.
