Egg in Dah Box
About Egg in Dah Box
EgginDahBox is a plugin that allows users to basically move mob spawners. The way that it works is that when someone with the permission for the plugin mines up a mob spawner, it will drop an egg from the creature that would've been inside the mob spawner. Users can do 1 of two things with these eggs:
- They can spawn the mob just once using the egg, then it disappears.
- If they want to, they can place a redstone torch in an area where they would like to place the mob spawner, then leftclick on the torch to make the egg disappear and the torch turn into a mob spawner
Permissions
The only permission currently in the plugin is to allow people to mine up the mob spawners. Currently, the pEX,bPerms, and the default bukkit permissions are supported.
The permission for it is 'eggindabox.mine' without the 's
Other information
Please include suggestions and/or bugs in the comments and i will try to fix them as soon as possible! :)
Notice: If you have the config from 2.6, you need to delete it as there is a new one in 3.0

Posted Oct 3, 2012Do you plan on adding perms so that not all users can make every type of spawner?

Check to make sure that you don't have mob spawning disabled, because this works fine on anyone else's server.

Posted Aug 19, 2012When using Redstone Torch and the Mob Egg, it doesn't actually spawn any 'enemy' mobs I've noticed. Even though it shows an actual mob spawner, with the correct mob spawning in the middle - it just doesn't spawn any mobs at all. almost as if it was light.
I've tried spawning them on both, grass and cobble.

No. The slime spawner needs you to be near it like any other spawner. and I will work on this. :)

Config to allow/disable certain Spawner's from being created. Not to stop the spawning of one's that already exist but to stop the user creation of one?
Can't seem to get slime's to spawn... Still trying atm and will post if they do or never do... I also use a plugin called MobCatcher The two seem meant to be... Allows for alot of use. like mob farms and what not. Like being able to use creeper eggs as weapons lol
Edit: I read online that a spawner only spawns if your so close to it, while slimes will spawn only if your so far from it. So if this is true, in order for slimes to spawn from a spawner then I have to be further away which then turns off the spawner which then defeats the purpose of the whole idea... Maybe you can do something about this? Maybe make slimes spawn within any radius of the player? Or the player has to be 3-4 blocks away?

Posted Jun 19, 2012Dude, seriously? This doesn't work at all for me. I'm a server owner in creative mode and I'm an op. All I wanted to do was create a zombie spawner, so I put a redstone torch on the ground and right click it with a zombie egg. I get a zombie. I install a permissions plugin and give myself the permission explicitly even though I'm an op, and still it doesn't work. I try in survival mode, still doesn't work. Do I seriously have to find a zombie spawner and actually move it? Come on man.
