Important information on this project in light of recent events.

If EchoPet is not loading on your Spigot 1.8 build and your server is outputting "Skipping loading of EchoPet as it does not work with Spigot 1.8 builds!", please try running a later Spigot patch. I can't do anything about older Spigot releases blacklisting the plugin (preventing it from loading).

The future of this plugin is still being determined.

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

EchoPet is a simple Donator Perk plugin designed to add Pets that follow players around on their adventures throughout Minecraft. All Pets are custom entities spawned and controlled by the plugin.

EchoPet comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for EchoPet to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the EchoPet directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.


Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.

Yeah wool was able to be pulled from sheep menu, I'm not sure about other pets yet.

Ok I'm using #100 now, I started with #98 so resetting the config changed the Force to false. I tried ocelots again, there's no error, but People are able to take the ink sacks and dye's out of the Cat Menu, and use them sometimes, though I haven't been able to, my users and staff reported they could.
Edit: Yeah i was able to pull red dye from the Cat menu after trying for a little bit.

Posted Sep 29, 2013@sir_brando The only thing I can think of is that the "force.baby" option in the config file may be set to true. Which build are you using? I know somewhere in between Dev #96-#98 there was a problem with them being set to true by default. The same with the villager zombies.

Posted Sep 29, 2013I'm not getting any problems in game... just the big ol error in the log.
But there was one other thing I noticed, are the animals supposed to spawn as babies automatically? Or did I configure something wrong? Also if i change like a pig to an adult, in the menu, if i tp somewhere else it turns back into a baby. And also Zombies change back to baby villager zombies. Sorry if someone already reported this, or if I maybe did something stupid. Just started using this, and Besides these minor things, it is a great plugin!

DSH105 you forgot to remove this rule from the Features list: - All mobs can be Pets (Except Enderdragons and Giants)
And mcstats stopped.

Posted Sep 29, 2013i updated my server to 1.6.4 i can normally create pets, but when it comes to renaming them, removing them and generally doing any command that has to do with them, it says "you don't currently have a pet" i guess it's a bug and it doesn't detect the pets :S lets hope it'll be fixed
