Important information on this project in light of recent events.

If EchoPet is not loading on your Spigot 1.8 build and your server is outputting "Skipping loading of EchoPet as it does not work with Spigot 1.8 builds!", please try running a later Spigot patch. I can't do anything about older Spigot releases blacklisting the plugin (preventing it from loading).

The future of this plugin is still being determined.

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

EchoPet is a simple Donator Perk plugin designed to add Pets that follow players around on their adventures throughout Minecraft. All Pets are custom entities spawned and controlled by the plugin.

EchoPet comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for EchoPet to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the EchoPet directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.


Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.

Posted Sep 17, 2013Is there possiblity to add to pet selector that when you open it, it shows pets only for what permission you have, and not spaming in chat that you dont have permission for that pet.

@LegoWithCoffee There's a config option to give it to players on join. You can also get it using /pet selector.
@BryanChung The permissions have been changed from 2.0 onwards to echopet.pet.<type> for the main command. That's the only change I've made. Make sure that requireDefaultPerm is set to false if you don't have echopet.echopet in your perms file. That was the transition option from v1.5.
@Shooty_ I can't control that strange Horse behaviour. And the snow I'll try to fix.

Posted Sep 16, 2013Hi ! Some bugs : Horse walk away xD and are totally buggy.
Also it's semes that the snowman even if wg disabled it , it show "snow" at the ground (fake snow, if we disconnect the snow isn't here anymore).
Seems to happend only after a /tp

Yes correct. And they are saying they cannot even /pet <pettype> despite me giving the permission. Need revert to previous version. I'm using bPermissions on Bungee.

Its not that it crashes the server or anything but when i go to ride the horse it just doesn't move it can turn around but it wont go forward or backward and can't jump, i looked in the console but theres no error messages or anything like that. it works fine with all the other pets to ride them but ridding the horse its not working.

Posted Sep 15, 2013I gave echopet.pet.select and echopet.selector.join permissions but my players tell me they still receive the message that they do not have permissions. And that "echopet.pet.select" is required. :(

Im interested in it saying "You dont have that pet, you can go {link} to receive it"

Posted Sep 15, 2013This plugin is fantastic !! I'm really really impressive with this plugin , but I want to give you some ideas and tips ... it's you can add Green villager, Iron golem egg in the Pet Inventory and you maybe Changeable name , and able to add-in lores ... ?
That could be awesome but yeah , just give you some idea out there , for the futures. And keep up the **good works !**

i was thinking /pet selector was going to open the menu with the command, not a bone
