EchoPet
Important information on this project in light of recent events.

Quote from DSH105:The forums have now been enabled and can be accessed via the navigation bar. More importantly, I'm interested in your input towards the new pet attacking AI to be implemented in EchoPet v3.
If EchoPet is not loading on your Spigot 1.8 build and your server is outputting "Skipping loading of EchoPet as it does not work with Spigot 1.8 builds!", please try running a later Spigot patch. I can't do anything about older Spigot releases blacklisting the plugin (preventing it from loading).

The future of this plugin is still being determined.

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

EchoPet is a simple Donator Perk plugin designed to add Pets that follow players around on their adventures throughout Minecraft. All Pets are custom entities spawned and controlled by the plugin.

| Great for donator perks! | |
| Pets are greatly customisable, through the extensive Command Base and PetMenu | |
| A Custom AI makes all Pets focused on specific goals, handled closely by the core of the Plugin | |
| All mobs can be Pets, even human entities | |
| All events fired by the plugin are accessible through the EchoPet Developer API | |
| The API also makes it possible to add many new and interesting features to the limit of creativity | |
| Support for MySQL databases |
Note: The Developer API is only available in v2.0.6 and after
All information can be found on the official EchoPet Wiki, which can be accessed using the button above

EchoPet comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for EchoPet to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the EchoPet directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.

Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.

He stated a few comments down that it was a problem on his part, and that it will be fixed in 2.0.6.
Also have you found the problem to the silkspawner issue? Not trying to rush you, I just have players asking about it.

Posted Jul 15, 2013Love this update to 1.6.
But I got a little confused when editing my permissions, your page says the perm for datas is echopet.pet.data.* but it is actually echopet.data.* ...
Thanks for the update! :D

Posted Jul 14, 2013Hey DSH105, i haven't tried the plugin yet, but does it still have the option to disable the spawning of currently active pets upon login that was added on version 1.4?

Alright, thanks! Surprised noone else has reported it, as it makes spawners basically useless since the spawners won't spawn anything, and also the spawners that got changed to the pet spawners don't drop with silktouch. So basically can be a big issue. Anyways thanks for helping and getting back so quickly!

Awesome, sorry about these issues - but I appear to have one more problem. I looked through all the files, and didn't see it documented anywhere, so I hope this one isn't a repetitive issue you've been hearing.
This plugin seems to conflict with silkspawners.. greatly. It changes all the spawner names to have pet at the end. Like creeper goes to creeperpet. The spawners also do not spawn anything, and loads of errors are brought up in the console. I've seen plenty of other servers use silkspawners and echopet in conjunction, and I didn't notice any problems, but on mine, like I stated, i'm getting this problem. Once again, sorry if this is reported already, or it's told somewhere that they have some kind of confliction.

I've just realised it's an error on my end. It seems that command-based permissions have been coded as 'echopet.data.<type>' and the PetMenu perms are 'echopet.pet.data.<type>'. It'll be fixed in 2.0.6, so that all permissions are 'echopet.pet.data.<type>'. Thanks for telling me :).

Posted Jul 14, 2013Not sure if I should create a ticket for this, but I seem to be having a problem with data type permissions. All other permissions work right, but for some reason my players with the permission echopet.pet.data.* can not do any of the data types for there pets.
Any reason why this wouldn't be working? I am also using Pex if this has anything to do with it.
Also, the smaller permissions do not work as well. Like echopet.pet.data.baby, etc

Posted Jul 14, 2013@MineLab That's handled by the Minecraft client, so I'd assume that it would be the same as player movement. The code is actually taken from the Vanilla Horse Riding

if you link to it in your post, and give them a warning, i dont think that the bukkit dev staff will remove it... unless they just recently changed the rules... It is no different than using a jenkins server... and they allow those.
