EchoPet
Important information on this project in light of recent events.

Quote from DSH105:The forums have now been enabled and can be accessed via the navigation bar. More importantly, I'm interested in your input towards the new pet attacking AI to be implemented in EchoPet v3.
If EchoPet is not loading on your Spigot 1.8 build and your server is outputting "Skipping loading of EchoPet as it does not work with Spigot 1.8 builds!", please try running a later Spigot patch. I can't do anything about older Spigot releases blacklisting the plugin (preventing it from loading).

The future of this plugin is still being determined.

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

EchoPet is a simple Donator Perk plugin designed to add Pets that follow players around on their adventures throughout Minecraft. All Pets are custom entities spawned and controlled by the plugin.

| Great for donator perks! | |
| Pets are greatly customisable, through the extensive Command Base and PetMenu | |
| A Custom AI makes all Pets focused on specific goals, handled closely by the core of the Plugin | |
| All mobs can be Pets, even human entities | |
| All events fired by the plugin are accessible through the EchoPet Developer API | |
| The API also makes it possible to add many new and interesting features to the limit of creativity | |
| Support for MySQL databases |
Note: The Developer API is only available in v2.0.6 and after
All information can be found on the official EchoPet Wiki, which can be accessed using the button above

EchoPet comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for EchoPet to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the EchoPet directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.

Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.

What server version are you using? 2.6 is very unstable on version 1.8.3, but the devBuild for 1.8.3 is usable (aside from the bugged menu commands)

Posted Mar 17, 2015DSH105,
Just wanted to thank you for an amazing plugin. I volunteer with a local elementary school in Denver, Colorado running a small server and your plugin is a HUGE hit.
I am sure I "echo" the appreciation of the rest of the community here - thanks for such a great plugin!

It already worked before his latest git push to remove Spigot Protocol support.
I sure hope this gets a quick recompile to work with 1.8.3...It'd be a real shame for such a small bug fix update to be the end of the only good pet plugin...
This is the only plugin stopping me from updating my server.

Posted Mar 9, 2015@rasnyderiii I am very very grateful of those who have donated (even the small amounts). It may end up on Spigot later, but I'm not entirely certain. Thank you for your kind words :).
@little_dude187 I'm glad you have had a positive experience using it ;D

Posted Mar 8, 2015This needs to be a premium plugin only. Thank you for all the hard work you have done over the years with little appreciation, I hope our small donations over the years eased the pain of so many idiots on forums.

Posted Mar 4, 2015I don't think this option is working:
Auto-load pets from last session
loadSavedPets: false
I want to disable pets from being loaded when they rejoin the server. But when I do so, my pet (from last session) is still being loaded.

Posted Mar 3, 2015Hello,
This is a fun plugin, but you need to seriously update your permission nodes. They are so inaccurate its not even funny. And you created this plugin. Which doesn't make sense.

Posted Mar 2, 2015@WinFamSurv I'm not eliminating the possibility of updates existing further on down the track (later this year, etc.), only confirming that development on EchoPet has ceased for the time being (i.e. I'm taking a break). In fact, a largely completed official Sponge port of EchoPet, which I have spent a significant amount of time designing, already exists on the GitHub repo.
I left this in the above plugin description as it is highly relevant: "The future of this plugin is still being determined". Without confirming when or on what platform/plugin repository, there is a chance that this plugin will be continued at a later point in time.
@TrewCraft360 Spigot 1.8 is already supported by v2.6.0. If you are still running a less stable protocol 1.7/1.8 build, there are less recent EchoPet releases/builds which offer compatibility for that particular server version.
