EchoPet
Important information on this project in light of recent events.

Quote from DSH105:The forums have now been enabled and can be accessed via the navigation bar. More importantly, I'm interested in your input towards the new pet attacking AI to be implemented in EchoPet v3.
If EchoPet is not loading on your Spigot 1.8 build and your server is outputting "Skipping loading of EchoPet as it does not work with Spigot 1.8 builds!", please try running a later Spigot patch. I can't do anything about older Spigot releases blacklisting the plugin (preventing it from loading).

The future of this plugin is still being determined.

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

EchoPet is a simple Donator Perk plugin designed to add Pets that follow players around on their adventures throughout Minecraft. All Pets are custom entities spawned and controlled by the plugin.

| Great for donator perks! | |
| Pets are greatly customisable, through the extensive Command Base and PetMenu | |
| A Custom AI makes all Pets focused on specific goals, handled closely by the core of the Plugin | |
| All mobs can be Pets, even human entities | |
| All events fired by the plugin are accessible through the EchoPet Developer API | |
| The API also makes it possible to add many new and interesting features to the limit of creativity | |
| Support for MySQL databases |
Note: The Developer API is only available in v2.0.6 and after
All information can be found on the official EchoPet Wiki, which can be accessed using the button above

EchoPet comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for EchoPet to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the EchoPet directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.

Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.

Posted Jun 2, 2014Is it possible to make the bat pet fly at head level of the player? Also is there any way to use other entities as pets? Such as mine carts, boats, dropped items, or balls of exp?

Posted Jun 2, 2014Hey! This plugin is absolutely AMAZING! Made Ender Dragon pets a perk for Donors :). Anyway, I was just wondering- could you maybe add powers (such as fire breathing for dragon, knockback for cow, etc) so that when we attack something, the pets can join in? If you can, please make it compatible with CB 1.7.2-R0.3. Thanks a bunch! Also, there is a mistake where it says I have to update, though I am on the newest version?

Just an afterthought; if you DO add pets being able to fight and protect their owners, can you also make it so that pets can take damage (only when combat tagged to prevent griefing of pets) by players (not including owner) and the pet of the opposing player. e.g., player 1 attacks Player 2, so player 2's pet fights player 1 and his pet, so Player 1's pet retaliates, and so on. This could lead to aerial fighting (on dragons) and maybe minigames where you have to be the last dragon trainer alive? However, the pets can only attack other pets if a person is on them, controlling them. For a dragon, maybe right click for fire, left click for bite/claw attack? Of course, there should be a gauge or limit to how much fire you can breath that recharges slowly over time. maybe, like how players have xp to level up, pets can too (from killing possibly?)and that increases their special ability (mentioned before, in this case it's fire because it's a dragon). Possibly add multiple riders (only 2 or 3) on large mobs such as cows, dragons, etc. only owner has control of the mob though, the other is just a passenger. /pet ride allow and /pet ride deny perhaps? These are all just suggestions, and feel free to neglect them, but I thought they would be pretty cool additions.

Posted Jun 1, 2014Just wondering if it's normal for the pet/rider to take damage while riding if we bump walls? This seems rather excessive and I cannot see where to fix it in configs. Take damage is set to false for each pet. What must I do to stop it? We dare not ride them lol.

Posted May 31, 2014It's seems that we can't download dev build ( http://ci.hawkfalcon.com/view/DSH105/job/EchoPet/com.dsh105$EchoPet-v1_7_R2/ )
Since files are doing 80Ko or 2.80 Ko, which is not the plugin size at all. (AROUND 800 ko)

Posted May 29, 2014Looking through comments here to discern if this will run with 1.7.9, spigot particularly. It appears the plugin is not yet ready for playername data format? Can you tell me if it is or not? I am certain that is the cause of our troubles with MyPet, which we are abandoning now. Can this run with 1.7.9 properly atm or should we wait?

Posted May 28, 2014Im still getting the bug where if a player dies his pet doesnt die and is therefore just like an entity left in the world, sometimes it follows the original owner but mostly it just stays in that one place. On my Kitpvp server there were 20 wolves at the spawn. They couldnt be removed in any way other than restarting the server.
EDIT: I should mention this is on spigot 1.7.9
