EachWorldHasItsOwnChat
EachWorldHasItsOwnChat
A simple to install plugin that gives a separate chat room to each world. Users in one world will not see the chat messages of users in other worlds.
Users automatically switch rooms when they travel to a different world.
The plugin requires no configuration and has no commands.
Note that this project requires the plugin Multiverse-Core.
Installation
- Put EachWorldHasItsOwnChat.jar in your plugins folder
- Restart your server
Changes
- Version 1.1 (Latest Version): Compiled for JDK 1.6 as it 1.0 would not run on any servers under Java 1.7.
- Version 1: Initial release.
Source
Released under GPLv2: https://github.com/rocky1138/EachWorldHasItsOwnChat

Posted May 8, 2013I created an updated version of this plugin, for all you that want this feature without errors. My plugin also has a single permission for moderators to bypass world chat division. Also, if you start talking with a ! the message is shown globally. My plugin will be updated with upgrades and suggestions. Tested CR 1.5.2 Still pending aproval, but download will be available soon.

Posted Sep 16, 2012The plugin is perfect and works in 1.3.2 (CB 1.3.1 2.0R), but I have this problem in the console:
2012-09-16 15:14:00 [INFO] world
2012-09-16 15:14:00 [INFO] world
2012-09-16 15:14:00 [INFO] world
2012-09-16 15:14:00 [INFO] world
2012-09-16 15:14:00 [INFO] world
2012-09-16 15:14:00 [INFO] world
2012-09-16 15:14:00 [INFO] world
2012-09-16 15:14:00 [INFO] world
2012-09-16 15:14:00 [INFO] world
2012-09-16 15:14:00 [INFO] world
Can you fix this please? The better way is to appear only 1 time or erase the in the log. This causes a massive .log in my server.
Thanks in advance.

I second this opinion, admins need to see all chat in order to manage the server effectively

Posted Feb 14, 2012would love a simple config system of disabling this plugin per world, or a perm node that I could give moderators / admins the ability to see any world chat.

Posted Feb 4, 2012This plugin looked good right up until the bit about needing multiverse core not every one uses that plugin for good reason I perfer XcraftGate The way i see it is there is no real need for the dependency on any other plugin as bukkit provides a simple Getworld name of some kind.
sure its a bit more work but it would be useful to more people.

Posted Feb 4, 2012Since there is no ticket, and I need a new feature implemented, I'll post here. There should be a command to 'shout' between worlds, there should be an 'admin' permission, so they can chat and receive messages on both worlds so everyone can hear. Hope you reply soon.
