DwarfForge

Wiki | Permissions & Commands | Usage | GitHub Source
The Dwarfs learned long ago how to manipulate lava to their will. By building their furnaces directly above lava, they can smelt metals and bake goods for a long time without hauling buckets about. Now, you can too. Build your furnace directly above a lava block, then punch the furnace to ignite it. Punch it again to douse the flames. No fuel/buckets needed!
There is a minimal configuration file; the plugin will automatically generate a default config.yml file if none is present. Just drop the JAR into your plugins folder and reload.

- Runs forever! No fuel/buckets needed.
- However, Forges can be required to operate with fuel, which is pulled from the input chest along with raw materials.
- Punching the furnace toggles it on/off.
- Dwarf Forges stack vertically. Lava only necessary under the lowest forge. (Lava is powerful, man!) Stacked forges can all access the same set of input/output chests.
- Input and output chests (left and right of forge, respectively, when facing it) supported. Double-size chests also supported. Additionally, you can "stack" horizontally to access nearby chests.
- Stacking limits are configurable (defaults: 3 high, 4 wide).
- Can change the cooking time: warp speed!
- Blocks in a short, 3-block radius from any Dwarf Forge are protected against fire from lava.
- Supports Permissions.
- Supports Metrics

Ok, it seems that you cann't post a temporary fix on another site. euhhh.... don't know how or what, maybe: if you want it, just look in history, link didn't change....
@chaseoes How can I get this done within the rules??

really glad to hear that! I honestly thought the project had become totally abandoned.
thank you for your hard work trying to keep this wonderful thing running
but certain people keep removing the download links for the known-experiemental dev builds which we take full responsibility running at our own risk...
unless the link remover is planning on revamping the plugin and we just dont know about it.. it would be really wonderful if they would possibly allow the dev link to stay up under some kind of disclaimer.
a pm would be amazing <NOT SARCASM>

Hi, I have it already in my dev-envoirment. I am not taking over this project (as I said before) but as I am also using it, I am trying to keep it working. I really hope that someone will get working with it again. But if you also stop reporting errors, the next person might not know of the problems. So I would say, keep on reporting the errors, until it is really dead....

What you might do is throw away the file 'active_forges' in de DwarfForge-directory after shutdown. That files saves the active forges durring a restart....

Currently, the plugin doesnt have anyone working on it. I have just been changing a few lines to get it working on new bukkit releases. The guy who officially took it over just updated it once and left it in a strange state. If you you want to take it over then please do so.
v2.3.0 is basically the last properly working version from 1.4.7 with martins changes added to it. And it pretty much works aside from when you remove lava under the furnaces. Some furnaces like to spit out the fuel onto the ground rather then just having the furnace douse and halt itself. I did have a bad tweak in 2.2.9 for lava removal detection but i removed that before adding martins changes for 2.3.0 so you can solve it properly.
Good luck :)

thanks bud, i guess i will take it if sorky lets me? i will work with hoppes to fill the stoves to auto turn on if dropped into the hoppers. then move them to the output chest after they are cooked. so you don't have to punch them they come on when the hopper get items put in them. :) just an idea! but thanks martin1704

I have the link updated (http://cakecraft.nl/DwarfForge.jar). I will send the changed code to sorky, but in the mean while you can take it of my MC-server. And no, I am not going to take this whole project over. I have a number of other stuff I really need time for.... Greetz, Martin

Yes, ID is 61 or 62 (Material.FURNACE or Material.BURNING_FURNACE). And that is where the big problem is. Updating the block-ID is clearing everything in it. First thing I lost was the front of the Furnace (yes, completely gone). Now playing around to get it to work. But so far two options, no auto starting, everything else seems to work, or auto start and then freeze up. Once had a third option in that het put first stuff in, and ejected it completely right away... hahaha.... So, still searching...

Posted Apr 5, 2013Hi All, Already got the basics working again, in Forge.java there is the method internalsSetFurnaceBurning. Disable that one and functional it is working. But, the furnace is not lit up, so trying to get that to work..... If you want the working DwarfForge, but without the Furnace burning get it at http://cakecraft.nl/DwarfForge.jar
