Posted Mar 6, 2013I'm just checking I haven't missed it - there's no fix to the permissions bug found earlier? I haven't been able to work a way around it and player shops have been rendered useless. Sorry if you haven't had time, just checking! =)

Posted Mar 6, 2013AH! Thank you VERY much! I was pulling my hair out trying to get it to work.
My players are excited about adding this plugin. Glad it's still working. Well, until the 1.5 update breaks it. =P I trust you will still support it though.
Thanks again for the prompt response.

Sorry for thae wiki it's bit outdated, atm the default wallet is NPC, was due some bugs. And the new commands can be found under "/trader help", Also most changes you need to know all commands like "/trader owner <owner>" changed into "trader owner set <onwer>" and deposit/withdraw/balance are now "/trader wallet deopsit/withdraw/balance". So to set the wallet to infinite you should use "/trader wallet set infinite"
I hope I could, and sorry for those problems ;<

Posted Mar 5, 2013I have been trying to set up a Trader all night. I have it kind of working but I constantly get the "Someone does not have enough money" message when I try to sell stuff to the trader. It is set up as an NPC trader and my understanding is that the Trader's wallet should be unlimited. I did not get to set up limits yet. Isn't the Server type trader the default? I tried /trader wallet [type] command and got the same error listed below.
Also, it seems that many of the commands like /trader balance, /trader deposit, etc dont' work. They return the message "This command is invalid" I was able to run the /trader wallet command and it lists it as "npc". I have added all the permissions I am supposed to ( I think ) but it still won't work as expected.
Any thoughts, tip, suggestions?

Build #183 got support for fireworks and dyed leather armor :) It also got a fix for vanishing item data
Build #184 - Small enhancement, allowing to open a traders stock normally (management mode or normal mode) with enabled denizen "Trader trigger" while sneaking and being OP or having "dtl.trader.denizen.bypass" permission.

Posted Mar 3, 2013Greetings again.
I've been playing around with the 2.5 alpha and the issue with lore disappearing is fixed which is fantastic! I did notice that there seems to be a new issue with mixing Re-named items and Lore. When both are present the lore is erased and the word "lore" is added to the name. If the Item contains only a name change it is retained, or if the item has only added lore it is retained. I looked at the save file for the npc's data and it seems that the flag for name will include the next flag indicator which in this case is the lore flag
- 280 p:2 s:0 d:0 a:1 !pat !pm n:Test lore: -testing 1 2 3 4
The result is an item named "Test lore" with no lore. When it should be named "Test" with the lore "testing 1 2 3 4"
The name flag most likely needs either quotes to ensure that it only includes the name, or possible its own line similar to how you incorporated the lore flag
I know its still alpha and you are probably already aware of the issue but I figured I would just try and help out :)

Posted Mar 3, 2013Hi there
When I try to put colored armors (leather that is colored) it always reverts them to brown. Is there a possibility that this could be looked at :)?
Thank you

Thanks for the replies. I'll go ahead and make Git issues for Catorii so it is easier for you to track.
We understand its an insane amount of work. I definitely know what its like to have a big side project like this on top of college (and work)
Edit: We are using Dtl 2.4.3 and Citizens 2.0.7 build 742.

Same as for fireworks I beat there is another MetaData structure to handle this. I will try to add this along with the fireworks format.
To all of you: All fixes are only done to 2.5.0 atm. I don't got from up now the possibility to update 2.4.3 :<

That window when you open it with a book, allows you to change the appearance of the item that points to a tab, and that white wool (atm without a name) allows to buy a new bank tab (prices in config file)

1. Might you try for me several other actions? Try to rename that trader after you saved citizens 2. So first set it then use /citizens save and then rename it. You might also try some things with restarting etc.. Any way going to check my Trader Registry because it uses in some cases NPC names not ID's
2. It will be 100% a restart problem or better said a "saving/loading" problem. Hmm... you might also try latest build (if you dont tried it yet).
3. For fireworks when I'm right I will need to add some new keywords for my saving system. Like for Enchanted Books. Because Fireworks uses an additional MetaData structure that is lost after you put it into the NPC stock. Because it takes the item you tying to put into the trader stock, and converts into the supported save format. And atm I'm not supporting this. But depending how complicated it is I will add it as fast as I can.
Atm my last works on that plugin change a lot of code, so that there are so many bugs is obvious to me. I just sometimes don't get to an issue. After 2 or 3 new comes, and i forget the first one :P
I would be really happy to get all issues on GitHub because it's much easier to track them down there ;P
Btw plz always tel me the Trader version you are using. Because 2.4.3 differs a lot from 2.5.0 Alpha.
I hope I could explain some things. Anyway going to try to fix it tomorrow, today i worked whol day on Circuits etc etc -.- (sometimes I think College professors hates students...)
@CyanLights
I was looking into it today, this issue is caused because I changed a bit the system how Trader inventories work. Atm opening a trader, copies the TraderStock (also cheking all Patterm and Tier permissons). The problem lays I need somehow make so if you move an item in the "copied stock", it should also move in the "base stock". That neesd to be debuged. Already got an idea just need a bit more time.
Also I'm really sorry for this slow work atm :<

Posted Mar 3, 2013The trader bug where certain blocks will glitch (the same one CyanLights mentioned) is a very disruptive one, and makes setting up NPCs difficult, if not impossible. Currently, 3 more bugs have been found with our server's NPCs (apologies in advance for the long post):
1. This one just started today. If you make an NPC, and put things into its sell or buy windows, and re-name that NPC any time after items have been added, the resultant NPC has an empty shop window, and items have to be re-added. Before today, we had no problem re-naming NPCs after their shops were set up.
2. We have also found that music discs do not work with traders, at least on our server. Putting them in a shop and setting prices on them works fine, but a few hours later (possibly after each server restart?), they are once again set at $0.
3. Fireworks don't work with traders either. If you create crafted fireworks (i.e. a creeper-shaped firework) and put them into an NPC, they turn into the default fireworks with no effects and no colors.
Any help you can give on these issues and the ones CyanLights mentioned would be very much appreciated. We know you're super busy, and don't want to put more pressure on you, but all of these bugs our server is experiencing from NPCs are causing a lot of problems. It's putting a real strain on our server's economy and the staff members involved in making these NPCs.

Hey dandielo,
I was just wondering how I will be able to find out when you release a fix for the bug I reported a few days ago.
I know you're a busy person. Not meaning to badger, but its just causing some problems with my server economy.
