I'm sure you've thought about doing some kind of drugs in Minecraft. Whether it was looking at sugar and thinking "this looks awful lot like cocaine", or having taken a Nausea potion and thinking "woah, this is so cool!". Well, this plugin provides you the quickest and simplest way of taking a large variety of different drugs. Simple cocaine, trippy acid, and everything in between!

DrugsXL is a DRUG plugin I've been working on for quite a while. I've been adding drugs here and there, fixing bugs here and there. I'm finally done. And I want to share it with you guys.
Now, let me clear something up. It's not an economy plugin. You don't "sell" drugs. You use them.
You might be wondering, "why don't I just use those other 912839212343432 drug plugins?". Well, it's because mine actually has
varied effects. Not just some silly nausea. Every drug has a different effect.
You can also customize this plugin to an unimaginable extent with the new config.yml file that was added! That's right, edit the names, the items, the item names, the text, everything! This plugin has a permission for every single drug, and will also rename drugs to their appropriate name if that user has the permission! All this, and it's as simple as dropping a file in your plugins folder (it is dropping a file in your plugins folder!).

Currently there isn't a way to turn off these particles, but I could add an option in the config file to turn off the particles. Thanks for the feedback! DXL1.7 will have this.

Posted Jan 2, 2014Is there anyway to avoid having the particle effect? The players love every aspect of the plugin, but then these musical symbols & hearts around everyone just gets kind of annoying. No one can withstand it, and the only way that I can figure out right now is to set particles to minimal, though new players don't know that and they quit right off...

Yes, this is a minecraft problem. It's due to haste being too fast. I have no control over this.
Just imagine it gives you telekinesis powers ;)

Posted Jan 2, 2014I have a problem. when people use cocaine and when they have haste and they try to hit something or somebody there arm dosnt swing. Is this a minecraft problem? Or can it be fixed?

I didn't quite understand, but I assume adding changeable items to open the shops? If so, this will be a feature in the next version.

All the information you need is in the information page.
If you have automatic-drugs set to true in the config, you can simply bring one of the drugs out from the creative inventory.
If you're on false for the automatic-drugs, you need to craft a drug, or buy one from the quick drug shop.

Posted Dec 29, 2013Hi, I am making a pvp drug server and i really like this plugin but i dont like how nausea is on almost every drug. I went into the config and didnt see much to change for then issue. Is there a way to take off or add certain effects to a drug?

I do have an idea. Could you possibly add LSD as a ghast tear and have that for bad trips and regular acid "I use a empty bottle" as good trips?

A random acid trip was supposed to be the plan, but the way I have it now it simply doesn't work. It would require a re-writing of Acid's mechanism, and I'm not even sure if it would work then.
To put it in perspective, here's what's going on. Acid gets initiated when the server starts/reloads. It gets the value from the config, then if its good, set up the good sounds. If it's bad, set up the bad sounds. Then, it runs a loop that checks if you're high on Acid. If you are, then play the sounds. If not, then don't play the sounds.
I used to have it to random in early development, but it would cause sounds to overlap when you got high more than once. It also caused lots of lag, because many sounds were playing at once.
Also, about the purchasing item, I'll make sure that you can chose the trigger item and the purchase item.
