I'm sure you've thought about doing some kind of drugs in Minecraft. Whether it was looking at sugar and thinking "this looks awful lot like cocaine", or having taken a Nausea potion and thinking "woah, this is so cool!". Well, this plugin provides you the quickest and simplest way of taking a large variety of different drugs. Simple cocaine, trippy acid, and everything in between!

DrugsXL is a DRUG plugin I've been working on for quite a while. I've been adding drugs here and there, fixing bugs here and there. I'm finally done. And I want to share it with you guys.
Now, let me clear something up. It's not an economy plugin. You don't "sell" drugs. You use them.
You might be wondering, "why don't I just use those other 912839212343432 drug plugins?". Well, it's because mine actually has
varied effects. Not just some silly nausea. Every drug has a different effect.
You can also customize this plugin to an unimaginable extent with the new config.yml file that was added! That's right, edit the names, the items, the item names, the text, everything! This plugin has a permission for every single drug, and will also rename drugs to their appropriate name if that user has the permission! All this, and it's as simple as dropping a file in your plugins folder (it is dropping a file in your plugins folder!).

I, in fact, never implemented Shrooms because I thought... well they're too mainstream. They won't do much different from other drugs, anyways, since I have no control over the user's Client.

Idk if this is asking for to much but could you add some more drugs (I only know these because I played on this drug server) pumpkin seeds= crack both mushrooms= shrooms and netherwarts= MDMA like I said I got all of these form a minecraft drug server i play on so yah (i need thoes drugs soon please) :3

No, this feature could not be implemented. I agree, it could be a cool feature, but the way the drugs are programmed, this just wouldn't work.
Oh, and I've done lots of.. um.. research. ;)

I agree, I used to run my own server, but I couldn't afford it. I had an OK community. Few people joining every day. I only had one donation ever.

Thanks, MC plugins aren't as hard as making a server though. You just have the be the kind of person that likes to write code all day. Servers are... something different. It's like having a baby. You always have to manage it, clean up after it, and pay for it (unless you're hosting it at home). After a while, you usually get a good community that is willing to do this for you, but if not, you're screwed.

Hm, I haven't really worked on DrugsXL in a while (I've been pretty lazy, but I can probably finish the update within a week if I start), and it seems that colors are not set with hexadecimal codes, but actually a list of 16 colors. Hm, this might be somewhat limiting.
I'm thinking &7 would do the trick, as it's the closest to white as you can get, yet it's still noticeable if you pay attention.

Yes, that is what I'm currently planning on doing. If I recall correctly, I'm able to set item name colors with hex, so this should be a breeze.

Well, I can't actually change the color of the food item, but I CAN change the color of its name. I like the idea. Will only do so with Cyanide! :)

Posted Nov 11, 2013There seems to be a... bug with the 'good' acid trip. It just makes you completely blind, not being able to see the ground, even. It is supposed to make white fog. This is caused by Minecraft changing the way Night Vision works, and I have no control over this. I will release a version fixing this bug in a few moments.

Great idea, might delay the DXL1.6 a bit though.
So, basically, you combine a drug with a food item in a crafting table and it gives you a renamed (and dangerous/psychedelic) food item? :)

I don't think that's possible unless you have automatic renaming enabled. Also, I think I'll debuff the immortality of Meth. It's incredibly strong and needs to be nerfed.
