It offers server-admins the possibility to add a new outstanding way of travel to their servers.
More videos on DragonTravel (including tutorials)
Features:
- Allows admins to set destinations for the dragons.
- Allows players with the specific permission to summon and mount a dragon and...
...fly flights which consists out of waypoints(as many as you like)
...fly to destinations which have been set by an admin before.
...fly to coordinates chosen via command.
...fly to players choosen via command(different permission-nodes for other types of travel).
...fly to your faction's home-position (Factions required)
...fly to your town's spawn (Towny required)
...fly to a home-position which has been set by this player earlier. - Allows admins to set stations and limit the mounting of dragons to these locations (or a specified radius around it).
- Possibility to require a special item for players to use the plugin (e.g. a dragon-egg)
- Making signs which automatically mount a player and bring them to the written destination on the sign.
- Permissions-Support
- Support of all Economy-Plugins supported by Vault (Vault is required for that)!
Admins can set different prices for all ways of travel! - Admins can choose in the config whether dragons of this plugin should destroy blocks or if any dragons should break blocks when touching.
- All messages are fully customizable! Default messages.yml is English, but we provide German and French language files as well.
Due to the fact that things can change rapidly in this project, I stopped maintaining instructions on the plugin and other information like a list of commands/permissions in the forums, on this page etc. and decided to create a central location where you can always find all information up-to-date: The DragonTravel-Wiki.
Please use this wiki and report all mistakes you find in there and avoid posting questions on topics like commands/permissions/sign-creation etc., which are answered in the wiki, in the comments.
The questions and requests posted in the comments are repeating and there are some questions we answer at least once per week, so we decided to write down some of those Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read the questions below and see if you can find your question there, this really saves us time we can then spend on the development of DragonTravel.
- Is it possible to change the speed the dragon's wings are flapping?
- Is it possible to remove the dragon's health-bar?
- Is it possible to control the dragon manually?
- Is it possible to move the rider closer to the dragon to avoid him flying above it?
- DragonTravel does not start, what can be the problem?
You can find the answers to those questions in the FAQ!
Please read the paragraph above before posting any questions!

In the recent versions of DragonTravel, stationary dragons aren't saved anymore because there is a problem with the spawning of the dragons when the server starts.
When the server is shut down, chunks are unloaded (which removes the dragons) and on server restart, only some are loaded from the beginning and others only if there is a player inside.
The peoblem is that we can only spawn a dragon in chunks which are loaded, so the feature bugged and we removed the saving of the dragons.

You need to either create the group "g:dt.travel" in your globalgroups.yml or directly set the permissions for the group "Builder" in your file /plugins/GroupManager/worlds/world/groups.yml.
At the moment you tell the plugin to simply take the permissions of the group "g:dt.travel" in the globalgroups.yml and add them to the group.builder in your current world, but you didn't specify the permissionsgroup "g:dt.travel" before, so GroupManager doesn't know which permissions to add.

In you server's folder /plugins/GroupManager/worlds/<YourWorldName> you find a config "groups.yml". In this config, you must add the permissions for the groups.
You can find a tutorial for GroupManager here.

This is caused by the change in the database-system in version 1.5. I guess there is a little change in the format of the database which makes it impossible for the new version to read the old databases. You could open the files and take a look at both formats, so you can transfer the old file into the new format to keep your old stations. ;)

yeah that seems to be the issue i am having, its not importing the stations although the DB and all is there. I erased all my data and reset up a few and it worked. Sadly i have about 30 stations i have to re-do :D

Posted Aug 13, 2012Hey, how do I get rid of the Boss Health text client side?
I managed to just make the health bar transparent in my texture pack, but, how do I go about getting rid of the "Boss Health" text?
All client side of course, I'm not asking how to rid of them server side.

Posted Aug 13, 2012Bug: In 1.5.3 (from 1.4), stations are not importet - they are still in the file but not in the /dt statlist. i had to create them again, because new travelsign cant be created. Existing travelsigns worked (even without the stations).

Now the weird thing is, I tested that option exactly yesterday. I created a station "1" and set UseStation to true. It only let me mount on the station, nowhere else. Will look into it.

What i mean exactly is. If you are not at a station, lets say 1000 tiles from the closest station. you can still /dt travel location and off you go. So Stations even when on are not needed as it allows you to take off from anywhere. I have tested this with my old config and forcing a new config. Even though Use Station: True is set anyone can /dt travel location without having to be near a station in the least. The only perms that are set for these people are - dt.dismount - dt.destlist - dt.travel -dt.mount <
this one i removed to test and with out without this they can just /dt travel location and off they goI went thru the wiki incase some new perms where added or old ones changed but i see nothing that would be causing this.
config is as follows:
-------i took out all the # so it would be more condensed-----ConfigVersion: 1.5MusicURL: 'http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37237580/DragonTravelDemo.ogg' MessageOnPlay: true
GUIopenKey: 'KEY_L' Economy: false PayTravel: 5.0 PayFlight: 5.0 PayCoords: 10.0 PayHome: 0.0 HomeSetCost: 0.0 PaytoPlayer: 7.0 TravelHeight: 180 UseStation: true UseStatDestMarker: true DistancetoStation: 5.0 UseOnlySigns: false IgnoreAntiMobspawnAreas: true AntiGriefallDragons: false AntiGriefDragonTravelDragons: true DragonSpeed: 0.6 CommandPrevent: - /spawn - /f - /kill - /home RandomDest-Name: '_random_' X-Axis: MinX: -100 MaxX: 100 Z-Axis: MinZ: -100 MaxZ: 100
--------------hopefully this issue can be correct, as far as i know i have nothing that would be conflicting with this as it prior the update it ran fine (except the occasional dragon dropping people off 7 blocks early on some stations)-

Posted Aug 11, 2012The update did fix the /dt home issue for me but I'm still having a problem with the signs. Everytime I try to place a sign on a destination or station I get an error.

Ehm. What do you mean by Dragon are not bound on stations? UseStation in the config forces player to mount dragons on a station, which works great for me. StationaryDragons always vanish after a server reload or restart. I just tested UseStation with 1.5.2 and it works.

Posted Aug 10, 2012Indeed the recent fix did fix the /dt commands great! sadly it didnt fix the dragons being bound to a station and people can just mount them when ever and where ever they like. I even let it respawn a new config just incase mine had gotten out dated and sadly still no bound to stations.
looking forward to this getting resolved. great work.
