DragonTravel
It offers server-admins the possibility to add a new outstanding way of travel to their servers.

Features:
- Allows admins to set destinations for the dragons.
- Allows players with the specific permission to summon and mount a dragon and...
...fly flights which consists out of waypoints(as many as you like)
...fly to destinations which have been set by an admin before.
...fly to coordinates chosen via command.
...fly to players choosen via command(different permission-nodes for other types of travel).
...fly to your faction's home-position (Factions required)
...fly to your town's spawn (Towny required)
...fly to a home-position which has been set by this player earlier. - Allows admins to set stations and limit the mounting of dragons to these locations (or a specified radius around it).
- Possibility to require a special item for players to use the plugin (e.g. a dragon-egg)
- Making signs which automatically mount a player and bring them to the written destination on the sign.
- Permissions-Support
- Support of all Economy-Plugins supported by Vault (Vault is required for that)!
Admins can set different prices for all ways of travel! - Admins can choose in the config whether dragons of this plugin should destroy blocks or if any dragons should break blocks when touching.
- All messages are fully customizable! Default messages.yml is English, but we provide German and French language files as well.
Due to the fact that things can change rapidly in this project, I stopped maintaining instructions on the plugin and other information like a list of commands/permissions in the forums, on this page etc. and decided to create a central location where you can always find all information up-to-date: The DragonTravel-Wiki.
Please use this wiki and report all mistakes you find in there and avoid posting questions on topics like commands/permissions/sign-creation etc., which are answered in the wiki, in the comments.
The questions and requests posted in the comments are repeating and there are some questions we answer at least once per week, so we decided to write down some of those Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read the questions below and see if you can find your question there, this really saves us time we can then spend on the development of DragonTravel.
- Is it possible to change the speed the dragon's wings are flapping?
- Is it possible to remove the dragon's health-bar?
- Is it possible to control the dragon manually?
- Is it possible to move the rider closer to the dragon to avoid him flying above it?

The permission dt.travel makes the player able to fly to points, right? But can I define the point, so that only VIP Members can fly to the point called luxus? So the permissions node were dt.travel.luxus? If this isn't implented yet, it would be just awesome, if you add this... I've got wo factions and I don't want player of faction 1 travelling to capital 2. hope you understand my bad english

When people do /dt home it charges them the same amount for /dt sethome and ignores the free cost permission.

It's running fine for me. I use Lockette and do not use Essentials-Protect at all. I've been running 2.9.2 and DT 1.3 for a little while now. I used to get burned when DT was updated. The config file changed and turned my signs off, but I learned the hard way.

Posted Jun 29, 2012Hi Phiwa! I love this addon. :)
However, I recently updated to Essentials-2.9.2, and it no longer allows flight signs to work. Dragon Travel is one of the major ways that players get around on my server, so I'd like to be able to return to the newest version of Essentials soon.
I use LWC for sign protection and locking, and I'm beginning to suspect that Essentials Protect, the new built-in sign protection, may be the culprit.
What do you think?

I personally prefer PermissionsEx...
You simply give the Default-group the permissions every user is supposed to have and the Admin-group the asterisk.
You put yourself into the Admin-group: Finished...

Posted Jun 27, 2012I'm so incredibly confused, I've avoided permission mods for the longest time since I can never get them working but I really like this mod. I have no idea if i'm putting these nodes in right and i've tried so many different ways..
I can use DT when i'm /op but when i de-op myself and i'm in default I can't use it. i honestly don't know how to use the nodes. Do i just add ": true' after a node when i put it in permissions? like dt.travel: true

How about placing a travel-sign on the platform and only give the users the permission dt.travelsigns.use, so they can only travel by using the sign on the platform or do you use DragonTravel for other purposes as well? As long as they do not have the permission dt.travel, they cannot travel to the room by command. ;)

Posted Jun 21, 2012Hi, This is a cool plugin, but can i make it so when the player stands in a certain position, they get transported automatically, cause i want it so when you finish the hardest quests, you get transported to the "rewards room" and get tones of loot like diamond and gold etc. and pople can just type /dt flight DungeonReward and go from anywhere, but i want them only to be able to type when they are standing in the "Finished quest" area!
Also, you should make it that you can also ride a ghast if used in the nether. :D or make it you can choose the mob/mobs.... (FLYING PIGS!! XD)

Hey, In our wiki you already find a German messages.yml. :)
Due to the fact that both devs are native speakers, we always offer a German file along with the English one.
All additional languages can be sent to us and we will then provide them in our wiki, but when we release a new version with new messages, we only update the German and the English files, because we don't speak all languages. :D

Try to take a look at Youtube-videos or text-tutorials (Google...) on the permissions-plugin PermissionsEx and install it, then you will understand how to use the permission-nodes.
It should be okay to simply give all normal players the permission dt.user which gives them access to all basic features.

Posted Jun 18, 2012I am new to running a server online and I just installed this addon. My players cannot use this because of the privileges. I see the commands under permissions, but I have no idea where to put them. Can anyone post a link to a tutorial or something to that effect. I am sorry I am sure its a noob question, but I appreciate the help. Its a great add on and looking forward to further updates.
