DragonTravel

Table of Contents

DragonTravel gives players the opportunity to ride dragons in Minecraft.
It offers server-admins the possibility to add a new outstanding way of travel to their servers.

Features:

Allows admins to set destinations for the dragons.
Allows players with the specific permission to summon and mount a dragon and...
...fly flights which consists out of waypoints(as many as you like)
...fly to destinations which have been set by an admin before.
...fly to coordinates chosen via command.
...fly to players choosen via command(different permission-nodes for other types of travel).
...fly to your faction's home-position (Factions required)
...fly to your town's spawn (Towny required)
...fly to a home-position which has been set by this player earlier.
Allows admins to set stations and limit the mounting of dragons to these locations (or a specified radius around it).
Possibility to require a special item for players to use the plugin (e.g. a dragon-egg)
Making signs which automatically mount a player and bring them to the written destination on the sign.
Permissions-Support
Support of all Economy-Plugins supported by Vault (Vault is required for that)!
Admins can set different prices for all ways of travel!
Admins can choose in the config whether dragons of this plugin should destroy blocks or if any dragons should break blocks when touching.
All messages are fully customizable! Default messages.yml is English, but we provide German and French language files as well.

Due to the fact that things can change rapidly in this project, I stopped maintaining instructions on the plugin and other information like a list of commands/permissions in the forums, on this page etc. and decided to create a central location where you can always find all information up-to-date: The DragonTravel-Wiki.

Please use this wiki and report all mistakes you find in there and avoid posting questions on topics like commands/permissions/sign-creation etc., which are answered in the wiki, in the comments.

The questions and requests posted in the comments are repeating and there are some questions we answer at least once per week, so we decided to write down some of those Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read the questions below and see if you can find your question there, this really saves us time we can then spend on the development of DragonTravel.

Is it possible to change the speed the dragon's wings are flapping?
Is it possible to remove the dragon's health-bar?
Is it possible to control the dragon manually?
Is it possible to move the rider closer to the dragon to avoid him flying above it?
DragonTravel does not start, what can be the problem?

i have UseOnlySigns: true but people can still use /dt mount

why do you negatived all other permissions? Remove those one, they make no sense.

i've read all the documentation, here is how my default group's permissions are set;

- dt.travel - -dt.ctravel - -dt.ptravel - -dt.waypoint - -dt.home - -dt.cost

I want them only to travel at sign (set in config, and working). and not have any other permissions. ( i found out why the economy wasn't working, don't need help with that anymore) when i try to travel as this user group it just says 'you don't have permission'

restart the server after chaning the configuration file of DragonTravel. Also make sure to reload your permissions plugin if it needs to reload for accepting new permissions you are giving. If you need any help, than visit the Wiki.

really awesome, i love it.

but im using essentialeco and vault, and i can't seem to work the eco part of it. i turned it to true in the config, and when i create a sign, and add a price, it says 'you must enable economy to use this'

i added - dt.travel to one of my groups, but for some reason they still can't use sign travel; 'you don't have permission to do that'

you as an OP or server administrator have likely the permission node "dt.cost", which prevents you from getting withdraws for travelling, therefore you should make a negative permission on yourself if you want to get withdraws.

I really like this plugin, but a lot of text cluttered up the chatbox, could you perhaps add a config to enable/disable or edit each messages? Thanks!

Everything works great! Except one thing, I'm not being charged the cost when using a sign at a station. I'm sure everything is true and set also. I use Iconomy

Hey so when anyone clicks a sign this happens.

Any idea what it could be? Also it doesnt work...the sign is hit this error gens but they arent on a dragon or anything

Running 1.1RB3 and 721 spout I think...um using version 2.0. Music is also not working. No errors, just don't hear anything =/

Thanks a lot!

I have a wish.....

Can you make it better for iConomy?

For Example: A Travel from Station to Station costs 0,20Coins....InGame he shows 0,2.....dont like that....because i want to make RPG Server with a monetary as Gold and Silver. And it looks very stupid when a Travel costs 0,2 Silver instead 0,20Silver

And 1 more Question: Why i cant upgrade so easyli? Why i must replace all Stations new when i only overwrite the DragonTravel.jar? When i replace the DragoNTravel.jar all Stations dont work anymore!
